SSC MTS preparation 2023 provides you with proper guidance for subject-wise preparation for the upcoming MTS exam. The Staff Selection Commission conducts the Multitasking Staff exam every year to recruit eligible candidates for various posts in the Central Government departments and offices. This year, MTS Tier 1 is scheduled to be held in April 2023. SSC MTS Preparation 2023

SSC MTS Preparation for Tier 1

SSC MTS Paper 1 is an objective test consisting of 90 questions from 4 subjects – Numerical Ability, General English, General Awareness and General Intelligence & Reasoning. For SSC MTS preparation for Tier 1, one needs to focus on time management skills, learning short tricks to attempt Maths and Reasoning questions, practice through SSC MTS previous year question paper, mock test, sample papers, etc. Here are some important points of the Paper 1 exam:

  • Paper 1 will be conducted in 2 Sessions. 
  • It is mandatory to attempt both sessions, or else candidates will be disqualified.
  • Session 1 comprises 40 questions on Numerical Ability and Reasoning.
  • Session 2 includes 50 questions on English and General Awareness.
  • Each question will carry a weightage of 3 marks.
  • For every incorrect answer, 1 mark will be deducted in Session 2, and there will be no negative marking in Session 1.
  • The questions of Paper 1 will be framed in both English and Hindi language.
  • There will be a time limit of 90 minutes for regular candidates and 120 minutes for Visually Handicapped (VH)/ Cerebral Palsy (CP) candidates.

After clearing SSC MTS Paper 1, candidates will be called for physical efficiency test. This test will be conducted for the candidates who have applied for the Havaldar post. Those who have applied for Multitasking Staff will be asked to appear for document verification round. Earlier, the commission used to conduct descriptive exam as well. However, as per the revised SSC MTS Exam Pattern, the commission will shortlist the candidates on the basis of their performance in Tier 1 and PET.
