XAT Exam Notification 2022

XAT 2022 Registration and Notification released. XLRI has announced XAT registration 2022 along with the XAT exam date 2022 on the official website- xatonline.in. As per the XAT 2022 official website, the XAT registration begins on 10 August 2021, by 12:00 P.M. XAT registration last date 2022 is 30 November 2021. Candidates who wish to apply for the XAT exam 2022 must go through the eligibility details and apply online. 

For the XAT Exam 2022, the XAT notification is released on the official site of XLRI- xatonline.in/. The XAT notification 2022 PDF is available on the official website along with the application form and XAT 2022 exam dates. The XAT 2022 exam will take place on 02 January 2022,  while the XAT online application is available from August to November. 

XAT Exam Registration 2022

The Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) is a national-level management entrance exam. The MBA entrance exam is conducted by XLRI, Jamshedpur. The scores of the XAT exam is used by XLRI and other XAMI members, and also more than 700 management colleges accept the score of the XAT exam for their post-graduate management programmes. 

XAT exam is conducted in online mode only. There are four sections in the XAT exam namely Decision Making, Verbal & logical ability, Quantitative Aptitude & Data Interpretation, and General Knowledge. There are 100 questions of 100 marks in the XAT exam.

The online application is going to start in August 2021 for the XAT 2022 exam. After the application process is over the XAT 2022 admit card will be released. What is XAT Exam?

XAT is an MBA entrance examination administered by XLRI, Jamshedpur for admission to MBA/ PGDM programmes. XAT stands for Xavier Aptitude Test. XAT Exam Score is accepted by XLRI, 10 other XAMI members and more than 160 other colleges. The XLRI exam 2022 will be conducted across the country and is administered at a national level.

XAT Eligibility Criteria 2022

XAT eligibility is based on the education qualification required. Every applicant must go through the XAT exam eligibility 2022 and comply with it before applying for XAT. The XAT eligibility criteria is different for PGDM, BM and HRM and Executive courses. There is no mention of minimum aggregate marks required to be eligible for XAT.

XAT eligibility for final year students is very clear in the prospectus and states that final year study is eligible to apply for XAT 2022. However, graduates of the 1980s with a 2-year bachelor's degree are not eligible for the exam.


  • Every Indian citizen complying with the other eligibility requirements may apply for XAT 2022.
  • NRI and foreign candidates may apply on the basis of their GMAT Scores.

XAT Age Limit

There is no age limit to be eligible for XAT 2022.

XAT Educational Qualification

The Educational Qualification required for XAT is that the applicant must have a bachelor’s degree of the 3-year program or more from a recognised institute. A bachelor’s degree in any discipline is acceptable.

How to apply online for XAT Exam 2022

Complete detail about how to apply online for XAT 2022 is explained below in a step by step format.

  • Visit the official website @xatonline.in and click on the Registration tab.
  • For the XAT exam registration, enter your Name, Date of Birth, Contact details and Email-id to complete the registration.
  • XAT Login using the XAT ID and Password provided on your email id,
  • Complete the XAT Application form 2022 with the complete information and press ‘Final Submit Button’.
  • XAT form fill up will finish with the upload of the scanned Photo & Signature as per the specifications.

XAT Selection Process 2022

The selection process through XAT exam includes three stages. The first stage of XAT 2022 examination is the written examination. Based on the XAT 2022 score, each participating college calls for GD/PI and interview rounds to complete the admission process.

XAT Exam Pattern 2022

The Xavier aptitude test is conducted yearly and is conducted in the online mode. The XAT Exam contains multiple-choice questions. XAT paper pattern consists of 100 MCQs, and the time duration given is 180 minutes. The Xavier aptitude test does not have a sectional timer.

  • The XAT marking scheme includes a negative marking of 0.25 mark for every wrong answer.

XAT Cutoff Marks 2022

XLRI Jamshedpur, the exam conducting body will release XAT 2022 Cutoff after the declaration of results. Every college which accepts the XAT score shall publish category-wise cutoff separately. XAT 2022 cutoff determines the shortlisted candidates who will appear for GD/PI round and Interview.

XAT 2022 exam marks will include the overall cutoff for different categories and the XAT sectional cutoff for individual segments. XAT 2022 cutoff will be released separately for male and female candidates.
