XAT Exam 2023 registration is extended on the official website, and its deadline is 11 December 2022. XAT Exam 2023 is scheduled to be held on 8 January 2023. If you are interested in joining XLRI to study, MBA can appear for XAT 2023. As per the latest update, the candidates who have successfully registered for the exam can download their admit card from 20 December 2022 onwards, up to the exam date. 

XAT Exam, officially known as Xavier Aptitude Test, is conducted by XLRI every year to shortlist the candidates for MBA in BM and HRM courses. it is a national-level entrance exam and one of the most competitive exams in India. The notification of XAT 2023 Exam was released on 9 August 2023 by XLRI on its official website. As per the latest update, no changes have been made to XAT 2023 Exam pattern and exam structure by XLRI. However, 5 new exam centres have been added to the upcoming XAT Exam 2023, including Jorhat, Shillong, Tejpur, Rajkot, and Naharlagun.

What is XAT Exam?

Xavier Aptitude Test XAT is a national-level MBA exam for admission into different MBA/PGDM courses. It is conducted by XLRI Jamshedpur annually on behalf of the Xavier Association of Management Institutes (XAMI). The aspirants aiming at XAT Exam 2023 will get an opportunity to study in the Top MBA Colleges in India, including XLRI, XIMB, IMT Ghaziabad, SP Jain, TAPMI, KJ Somaiya, etc. Additionally, more than 150+ other academic institutes also accept XAT Exam scores for their management programs. 

XAT 2023 Exam has two parts. In part 1, the candidates get questions about Verbal & Logical Ability, Decision Making, Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation. However, part 2 of the XAT Exam consists of GK and essay writing (to be evaluated if the candidate is shortlisted for an interview). Additionally, the negative marking scheme in XAT 2023 Exam is a little different, and it is as follows:

  • 0.25 marks for an incorrect answer
  • - 0.10 marks for more than 8 un-attempted consecutive questions
  • No negative marking in the GK section

XAT Exam 2023 Fees

The candidates must pay the registration fee for XAT 2023 Exam after filling out the application form. Without paying the application fees for XAT Exam, the registration process will remain incomplete. As per the latest details, the XAT 2023 registration fee is mentioned below.

  • Registration fee XAT Exam 2023 (without late fee) – Rs. 2000./-
  • Candidates interested in XLRI Programmes need to pay an additional fee of Rs. 200/- for each program.
  • Indian candidates can apply through GMAT/GRE for Ex-PGDM, whereas an NRI/Foreign national can apply through GMAT for all the programs. Kindly note that GRE scores are only valid for EX-PGDM.
  • XAT Exam Fee for Indian Candidates applying for Ex-PGDM through GMAT/GRE– Rs. 2500/-
  • Fee for NRI/Foreign Candidates applying for one or more programs through GMAT– Rs. 5000/-.

After the declaration of the result, the selection process for XAT Exam 2023 will begin. The candidates must note one thing XLRI does not conduct any centralized selection process.   • XAT 2023 Exam selection process will include GD and PI Rounds. The candidates who will clear cut off of XAT Exam can expect a call from their desired Institute.
