OAS Exam 2022 - OAS Exam Date, Notification, Updates

OPSC has released the OPSC OAS Prelims result 2022 on its website. Candidates who took the OAS Prelims exam can download the result PDF through the direct link that is given below here. As per the result, a total of  5296 (1749 w) candidates are eligible to appear for the mains exam.

Odisha Public Service Commission released the OPSC Civil Service notification 2022 on its official website for the Odisha Administrative Services exam. The candidates had to apply for the OPSC OAS exam from 10 January to 18 February 2022. On the other hand, the last day to pay the application fee was 9 February. At present, OPSC OAS exam 2021-2022 is underway against advertisement number 25 of 2021-22. On the other hand, the OPSC OAS interview is scheduled in September against advt. no. 7 of 2020-21.

OPSC OCS Vacancy 2021

Below mentioned are all the names of the posts and corresponding vacancies released by the Odisha Public Service Commission. A total of 392 Vacancies were released under advt. 07 of 2020-21.

OPSC releases the OPSC eligibility criteria in its official notification. Candidates must check and confirm if they satisfy all the OPSC eligibility as mentioned below. It is important to check them before applying for the application to avoid last-minute disqualification.

Citizenship: He/She must be a citizen of India.

OPSC OAS Age Limit 

Age limits: The candidate must be below 32 years and above 21 years of age. ( as on 1st day of January 2020).

Note- He/she must not have been born earlier than 2nd January 1987 and not later than 1st January 1998.

OPSC OAS Educational Qualification

Bachelor’s Degree i.e an undergraduate degree from any recognized University. Also, the student must be able to read, write and speak Odia and must have (anyone):-

1. He/She should have passed in Odia as a Language subject in middle school; or
2. Student In the final examination of Class-VII from a School or Educational Institution recognized by the Government of Odisha or the Central Government must have passed in Odia as a language subject; or
3. Must have passed a test in Odia in Middle English School Standard conducted by the School & Mass Education Department of the Government of Odisha, or
4. Passed with Odia as the medium of examination in the non-language subject in HSC or equivalent examination

OPSC OAS Number of Attempts

The candidates are given a total of 4 attempts for OPSC OAS exam. Candidates from Socially and Educational backwards classes are given a total of 7 attempts. However, there is no limit for the SC and ST category of candidates.

How to apply for Odisha OPSC Civil Service Exam 2022?

Application for Odisha Civil Services 2022 is a two-step process

• OPSC OAS Registration 
• OPSC Application Form filling 

• Click “New User” link, if you are registering for OPSC Civil Services for the first time. 
• Fill in your Email ID & Mobile Number and click “Proceed” to continue
• An OTP is sent to your Email ID & Mobile Number for validation, enter that and click “Next” button.
• Enter a User Name of your preference and choose a password 
• Select the Post & Arrange as per your preference
• Fill up the remaining OPSC Application form 2022
• Upload your Signature and Thumb Impression
• Verify all the details& click on “Submit” to Register

Filling up of Odisha Civil Services Form 2022

• Click “Go to Login”. It will open the “Login Page” to proceed further
• Enter your username, password and captcha to log in 
• After “Login” it will show the details entered. To proceed further click on the “Preview Registration” button.
• Check all the details and confirm the information along with any document requirements. 
• Pay the application fee online by clicking the “Pay Online” Link
• Download the application form Pdf and keep a printout of the same for future reference

OPSC OAS Application Fee

All candidates have to pay a non-refundable and non-adjustable amount of ₹ 500 only.

Note- SC and STs of Odisha and persons with 40% disability are exempted from payment of this fee.

OPSC conducts the Odisha Civil Service Exam 2022 in three stages. The exam pattern is similar to the UPSC Exam. There are three stages for OPSC OAS exam consisting fo Prelims, Mains and Interview. You can find out the OPSC OAS exam pattern in the table that is given below.

Stage I: OPSC Prelims Exam Pattern

Preliminary exam: it consists of 2 papers of objective type(MCQ).

• Paper I- General Studies (200 marks)

Note- The merit list of students in the mains exam will be based on the marks obtained in the Paper I.

• Paper-II: consist of aptitude questions and is for 200. It is a qualifying paper and candidates have to score 33% in the Paper-II otherwise their Paper I will not be evaluated.

Note- The duration of each paper is of 2 hours.

Stage II: OPSC Mains Exam Pattern

Mains exam: consists of 5 compulsory papers and 4 optional papers (2 Optional Subjects). Each paper is for 300 marks thereby making the OPSC Mains exam for 1400 marks for optional paper and 1200 marks for optional papers.

Stage III: OPSC OAS Personality Test

All those candidates who qualify the mains examination will be invited for a personality test i.e. the interview. The personality test will be of 250 marks. The test will judge candidates' mental alertness, clear and logical exposition, critical powers of assimilation, variety, and depth of interest, the ability for social cohesion and leadership and intellectual and moral integrity, the balance of judgment.

The final list of recommended candidates (Odisha Civil Services Examination) will be based on total marks obtained in the Mains examination and the personality test.

The OPSC releases the Odisha Civil Service Exam Admit Card in three stages. First, OPSC releases the OAS Prelims hall ticket for all the candidates who successfully register for the Odisha Civil Service Exam 2022. Candidates who qualify the prelims exam are issued the OPSC OAS Mains call letter. Applicants who clear the Mains cutoff are issued the interview call letter.

The OPSC result 2022 will be released within 20-25 days after the successful conduction of the exam. The result of OAS exam shall determine your qualifying status for an appointment.
