NMAT 2023 Latest Updates

The candidates appearing in the upcoming NMAT Exam 2023 must know all the official details and the dates. GMAC has officially released the important timelines for NMAT 2023 online on its official website, and are listed below for your reference.

The NMAT 2023 Notification has been declared on the official website. It contains the important dates, such as the notification release date, application form date, and more. The below-mentioned timeline for the upcoming NMAT 2023 is as per the latest official notification.

The NMIMS Management Aptitude Test, abbreviated as NMAT, is conducted by GMAC every year in October-December in a 75 days exam window. Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies originally administered this MBA Exam until GMAC took it over. During the NMAT 2023 window, candidates can use the scheduling option to select their preferred exam day and location. Candidates can choose their desired day during a testing window and self-schedule the NMAT, time and place, and appointment date depending on the availability of seats at the desired test centre, as they may with the GMAT.

The officials of GMAC have released the notification on its official website. With the release of the notification, online registration for the upcoming NMAT 2023 have also started from 1st August 2023. The NMAT registration process is only available in online mode.

NMAT by GMAC is a national-level exam held annually and is administered by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC). It is quite similar to GMAT, where applicants may take the exam thrice in a 75-day window. NMAT 2023 by GMAC will be conducted for admission into NMIMS, Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, and other top B-schools across the country and other selected countries. The NMAT notification bulletin contains the basic information about the exam that every applicant must know.

The NMAT is one of the most prestigious exams in India and overseas. The table below summarises some of the most important aspects of the upcoming NMAT 2023.

The NMAT Selection Process includes an online exam. After releasing the NMAT score and percentile, candidates can apply to individual colleges for further GD rounds and Interviews for final selection. Note the steps below to know the process for NMAT 2023 selection process.

• First of all, the candidates have to appear for NMAT
• All the appearing candidates will be shortlisted as per their performances in the exam
• Shortlisted candidates have to appear for the Interview round

Candidates who wish to appear for the upcoming NMAT must know its eligibility criteria. The basic eligibility is graduation from a recognized college or its equivalent. NMAT Age Limit

As per the official updates by GMAC, there is no upper age limit to take part in NMAT 2023. NMAT Eligibility criteria does not prescribe an upper age limit.

NMAT by GMAC Educational Qualification

NMAT 2023 qualification specifies that the candidate must hold a graduate degree of 10+2+3 or 4 years. The graduation stream can be any; however, the educational qualification percentage is a minimum of 50% aggregate. Applicants in the final year of graduation and waiting for their results can also apply for NMAT. Candidates must check each participation institute's educational eligibility criteria before applying. Each college or university has different educational criteria.

NMAT Work Experience: Candidates with 2-3 years of prior work experience have an edge in the final selection process of the NMAT 2023. Candidates with no prior work experience are also welcome to apply. However, work experience is not mandatory.

GMAC has declared the NMAT Exam Pattern in its official notification. As per the latest update, the total number of questions have remained the same as in NMAT 2022. The NMAT by GMAC is being conducted online over a 75-day period. Aspirants can choose a suitable NMAT Exam Date to appear for the exam.

• There is no NMAT negative marking.
• NMAT 2023 is being conducted by GMAC in an online mode both at the exam centre and at home in an online proctored mode
• The test window for NMAT is an 75-day test window, and its official schedule has been announced.
• NMAT 2023 Medium of instruction is English.
• Students can choose the sequence in which they want to attempt the sections.
• Transition across sections is not available.
• There is an NMAT sectional time limit.
• It is a "computer-adaptive" online examination.
• At the end of each section, students can see a summary of their attempts.
• Candidates must note that each student can take the NMAT 3 times, i.e., one attempt and two retakes.

The application link for NMAT 2023 has been activated online on the official website of GMAC. Aspirants aiming for NMIMS can apply online for NMAT. The registration process for NMAT 2023 starts from 1st August 2023. To apply for the NMAT 2023, candidates must fill out the application form on the official website on or before the last date i.e 10th October 2023.

How to Apply for NMAT?

To successfully apply for the NMAT 2023, applicants must go through the NMAT registration details and know the step-wise method of how to fill out the NMAT form. Interested candidates can apply for the exam through the official website of GMAC once the registration link gets active.

• Visit the NMAT by GMAC official website: nmat.org.in
• Click on ‘Register Now’ under quick links.
• Register using the information asked, such as name, a valid email id, and mobile number, and choose a password. After submitting the details, you will receive an email regarding the login details.
• Log in to access the NMAT by GMAC registration form and complete the application form with the correct details.
• Choose the NMAT college and university names you wish to apply for under the "Schools Preference" section. You can choose up to 5 programs or schools. You can pay an additional fee for adding more colleges.
• Upload the scanned photograph & digital signature. Size should not exceed 1 MB.
• Click on “Submit”, and a unique NMAT registration number will be displayed.
• Pay the NMAT Exam fees to complete the process.

The candidates must note that after completing NMAT 2023 registration, the rescheduling option will be enabled on the website. To reschedule NMAT Exam Date, the candidates have to apply for the exam reschedule option less than 72 hours from the date and schedule of the exam. NMAT 2023 rescheduling can be done on the same dashboard as the prior application.

How to Schedule for NMAT by GMAC?

After NMAT registration, you can schedule your exam from the candidate dashboard. Visit your dashboard after logging in to your NMAT 2023 account.

• After successfully paying your NMAT fees, from the candidate dashboard.
• Exam must be scheduled 24 hours in advance.
• Select the exam mode you want : test centre or online proctored at home
• The admit card for NMAT can be downloaded from your dashboard.

Process of Rescheduling NMAT 

In selected cases, NMAT aspirants may be able to reschedule their exam if they have an emergency. You can postpone your NMAT Exam to a later date if you have pre-booked a slot and cannot keep to that timetable. However, you cannot be able to reschedule your NMAT to the previously scheduled date. The rescheduling NMAT 2023 fee is Rs 1200, including taxes.

NMAT Retake 2023

Candidates can retake the NMAT 2023 twice after the first attempt. GMAC allows up to 3 attempts with a 15-day gap.

• The NMAT retake dates will be by GMAC on its official website.
• After taking the NMAT Exam, your student dashboard will activate the option to retake the test.
• You have to be required to pay the Rs 2800/- retake fee for every try.

Steps to Apply for NMAT Retake?

After the first NMAT attempt, candidates can ask for two retakes. Check the details about how to take the NMAT retake.

• In the dashboard, enter the credentials you created for NMAT registration.
• Select the 'retake section' from the drop-down menu.
• Choose a new date and time, then register for the NMAT 2023 retake and pay the fees.

NMAT Exam Syllabus for Quantitative Skills

The Quantitative Skills section of the NMAT includes questions from Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry & Mensuration, Modern Math, and Data Interpretation. NMAT Syllabus for Logical Reasoning

The NMAT 2023 syllabus for LR includes two major sections - Verbal Reasoning and Analytical Reasoning. There will be 36 questions in this section to be completed in 40 minutes.

NMAT 2023 Syllabus for Language Skills

The NMAT Syllabus for Language Skills includes Reading Comprehension, Verbal Ability, and English. There will be 36 questions in this section, and you will have 28 minutes to finish them.

As per the trends, NMAT admit card can be downloaded right after the completion of registration. Applicants can download their hall ticket from the official website by using the login credentials.

How to Download NMAT Admit Card?

To obtain your NMAT 2023 Admit Card, follow the processes outlined below.

• Visit the NMAT on GMAC official website.
• Candidates who have finished the registration process should log in to verify their application status. If it says "payment successful," they can go to the exam application dashboard and download their NMAT hall ticket.
• Candidates who have not completed the NMAT registration process should do so first and then download the admit card.

NMAT cut-off marks are determined by individual participation institutes. Each NMAT college releases its own seat of cutoffs for various courses and categories. The final NMAT 2023 Cut Off marks can be either released in the form of NMAT scores and percentile.
