NMAT by GMAC 2021 Notification is released on August 03, 2021. With the release of notification, online registration is also begun. The registration is the first step to join the MBA course. NMAT or NMAT by GMAC is an MBA entrance examination held annually and is administered by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC). NMAT is very similar to GMAT where applicants may take the NMAT Exam thrice in a 75-day window. NMAT GMAC is conducted for admission into NMIMS, Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, and other top B-schools across the country.

The NMAT Registration 2021 has begun on August 03, 2021. The NMAT 2021 application must be filled after going through the detailed information and the application process. How to Apply Online for NMAT 2021

Below given a detailed step-by-step guide on how to apply for NMAT 2021. 

  • Visit the official website https://www.nmat.org.in/
  • Click on ‘Register Now’ under quick links. 
  • Register using the information asked such as name, a valid email id, mobile number, and choose a password. After submitting the details, you will receive an email regarding the login details.

  • Login to access the NMAT by GMAC registration form and complete the NMAT application form with correct details. 

  • Choose the college and university names you wish to apply for under the “Schools Preference" section. You can choose up to 5 programs or schools. You can pay an additional fee for adding more colleges. 
  • Upload the scanned photograph. Size should not exceed 1 MB.
  • Click on “Submit” and a unique NMAT by GMAC™ Registration Number will be displayed. 
  • Pay the application fee to complete the process.

Who is not eligible for the NMAT Exam Extension Window?

Applicants who have taken up all three attempts for the NMAT by GMAC exam for the year will not be allowed to register for the additional window. Therefore, applicants who have used their main attempt as well as the two re-takes, cannot avail of this opportunity.

What is NMAT Exam?

NMAT 2021, also known as NMAT by GMAC 2021, is a national level MBA entrance exam for admissions at NMIMS University and other prestigious business schools in India and worldwide. NMAT originally was administered by Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies until it was taken over by GMAC. Who is eligible for NMAT?

NMAT Eligibility Criteria 2021 is determined by GMAC. Every aspirant must comply with the eligibility criteria set by GMAC for NMAT Exam before applying for the exam. The NMAT 2021 eligibility details include educational qualification, eligibility of final year students and age limit criteria. All the details about the NMAT eligibility criteria have been explained in detail below. 

Applicants are advised to check the eligibility criteria for each university or college when they apply with an NMAT score. 

NMAT Age Limit

As per the NMAT eligibility criteria 2021, there is no upper age limit to take the examination. Candidates with prior work experience are preferred. NMAT eligibility age limit does not prescribe an upper age limit. 

NMAT Educational Qualification

NMAT educational qualification specifies that the candidate must hold a graduate degree of 10+2+3 or 4 years pattern. The graduation stream can be any however, NMAT educational qualification percentage is a minimum of 50% aggregate. Applicants who are in the final year of graduation and are waiting for their results can also apply for NMAT 2021 Examination. 

Candidates must check the NMAT educational eligibility criteria of each NMAT participation institute before applying. Each college or university has different NMAT educational criteria.

Work experience: Candidates with two to three years of prior work experience are favoured throughout the final selection process. Candidates with no prior work experience are also welcome to apply.

How many times can you give NMAT exam?

Maximum Attempts: Candidates have three chances to take the NMAT exam 2021, including no-shows.

NMAT Exam Pattern

NMAT selection process 2021 includes an online NMAT exam 2021 which is held in a 75 day period. After the release of the NMAT score and NMAT percentile, candidates can apply to individual colleges for further GD round and Interview for final selection.  

NMAT exam pattern has been changed by GMAC. The total number of questions has been reduced last year and we expect the same to be followed for NMAT 2021. NMAT exam pattern 2021 defines the paper pattern and the various sections in the question paper. Top MBA Colleges Accepting NMAT Scores

NMAT by GMAC scores are accepted by more than 30 MBA Colleges across the country. You can go through the list of MBA College that accepts the NMAT Score for admissions. NMAT Colleges release the cutoff marks and then call candidates for further rounds of the admission process.

Candidates can choose which colleges they want to send their NMAT scores to in India, South Africa, the Philippines, and Nigeria. The candidate's registration fee includes sending scores to five schools/programs.

NMAT Cutoff Details

NMAT cut off marks are determined by individual NMAT participation institutes. Each college releases its own seat of cutoffs for various courses and categories. NMAT final cut off marks can be either released in the form of NMAT score or NMAT percentile.

The NMAT Cut Off 2021 will be determined as per the difficulty level of the exam, the vacancies in the course and average performance by the students. There can be more determining factors for NMAT cutoff marks. 

NMAT Cutoff marks range from 150 to 200, and certain institutes will give preference to sectional cutoffs in addition to the overall NMAT Cutoff. NMIMS Bangalore requires a normalised score of 200, which is approximately 91.1 per cent, but NMIMS Mumbai requires a score of 208 and a percentile of 94 per cent.

How to download NMAT 2021 Admit Card?

To obtain your NMAT admit card, follow the processes outlined below.

  • Visit the NMAT by GMAC official website.
  • Candidates who have finished the NMAT registration process should log in to verify their application status, and if it says "payment successful," they can go to the exam application dashboard and download their NMAT hall ticket.
  • Candidates who have not completed the NMAT 2021 registration process should do so first and then download the admit card.

NMAT Exam Day Guidelines and Documents 

The NMAT exam will be conducted either at the exam centre chosen by you or at home in an Online Proctored Form. 

If you are taking the NMAT Exam at the exam centre, follow the following guidelines

  • Arrive at the test centre at least 45 minutes before your scheduled exam time.
  • Carry the following documents on the exam day:
    • NMAT Confirmation Email - You can either show it on the mobile or take a print out of the same
    • NMAT Admit Card 2021 to be downloaded from the official website
    • One valid Photo ID and another Signature ID in the original form
    • Documents for  differently-abled candidates as advised by GMAC

If you are taking the NMAT Exam at the Online Proctored Exam, follow the following guidelines. 

  • On the exam day, log in to the exam taking platform, Examity at least 15 minutes before the exam time to avoid any difficulty.
