NMAT 2021 is scheduled from 14 October 2021 to 27 December 2021. The NMAT 2021 Exam, like the previous year, is an adaptive test. This means that the difficulty level of the preceding question will determine the difficulty level of the subsequent question. NMAT 2021 is being held at over 66 test centres across 55 cities in India, as well as four international centres. Students can take the NMAT exam up to three times with a 15-day interval between each attempt. Additionally, students have the option to reschedule the test day and time to suit their schedules during the test window.

NMAT Registration 2021

NMAT by GMAC 2021 Notification was released on 03 August 2021. With the release of notification, online registration for NMAT 2021 started. The NMAT 2021 registration process is available from 03 August 2021, to 10 November 2021. The late registration is from 11 November to 15 November 2021. 

NMAT or NMAT by GMAC is an MBA entrance examination held annually and is administered by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC). NMAT is very similar to GMAT where applicants may take the NMAT Exam thrice in a 75-day window. NMAT GMAC is conducted for admission into NMIMS, Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, and other top B-schools across the country.

Latest Update and Changes about NMAT 2021

  • NMAT Exam will be a computer adaptive test. 
  • Two Testing Modes: Last year, the NMAT was administered in two phases: at exam centres and in an online proctored format; this may be repeated for NMAT 2021
  • The opportunity to jump to the subsequent question without answering the current question was disabled, making it necessary for the students to attempt all the questions.

  • Instant NMAT 2021 Score: After completing the NMAT 2021, students have the option to check the NMATY Result 2021 instantly. This allows the student to assess whether or not their effort is satisfactory. If a candidate believes their scores were not up to par, they can retake the NMAT after 15 days.
  • Download NMAT Scorecard 2021: Candidates can also download their NMAT 2021 scorecard in pdf format within two days of the exam. The official NMAT scorecard, on the other hand, will be available only once the results are announced. The deadline for downloading the NMAT scorecard is likely to be sometime in February 2021.

NMAT Exam Analysis 2021

The NMAT Exam 2021 is being held from October 14th to December 27th, 2021. There are three sections to the exam paper: Language Skills, Quantitative Skills, and Logical Reasoning. The test takers can choose the sequence in which they want to attempt the exam. There are 36 questions in each session, for a total of 108 questions to be answered in 120 minutes. What is NMAT Exam?

NMAT 2021, also known as NMAT by GMAC 2021, is a national level MBA entrance exam for admissions at NMIMS University and other prestigious business schools in India and worldwide. NMAT originally was administered by Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies until it was taken over by GMAC. During the NMAT exam window, candidates can use the NMAT scheduling option to select their preferred exam day and location. Who is eligible for NMAT? Check NMAT 2021 Eligibility Criteria

NMAT Eligibility Criteria 2021 is determined by GMAC. Every aspirant must comply with the NMAT by GMAC eligibility before applying for the exam. The NMAT 2021 eligibility details include educational qualification, eligibility of final year students and age limit criteria. All the details about the eligibility for NMAT exam have been explained in detail below. 

Applicants are advised to check the eligibility criteria for each university or college when they apply with an NMAT score. 

NMAT Age Limit

As per the NMAT exam eligibility, there is no upper age limit to take the examination. Candidates with prior work experience are preferred. NMAT eligibility age limit does not prescribe an upper age limit. 

NMAT Educational Qualification

NMAT educational qualification specifies that the candidate must hold a graduate degree of 10+2+3 or 4 years pattern. The graduation stream can be any however, NMAT educational qualification percentage is a minimum of 50% aggregate. Applicants who are in the final year of graduation and are waiting for their results can also apply for NMAT 2021 Examination. 

Candidates must check the NMAT educational eligibility criteria of each NMAT participation institute before applying. Each college or university has different NMAT educational criteria.

Work experience: Candidates with two to three years of prior work experience are favoured throughout the final selection process. Candidates with no prior work experience are also welcome to apply. However, work experience is not mandatory

How many times can you give NMAT exam?

Maximum Attempts: Candidates have three chances to take the NMAT exam 2021, including no-shows.

Who is not eligible for the NMAT Exam Extension Window?

Applicants who have taken up all three attempts for the NMAT by GMAC exam for the year will not be allowed to register for the additional window. Therefore, applicants who have used their main attempt as well as the two re-takes, cannot avail of this opportunity.

NMAT Registration 2021: Dates, Fees, Process

The NMAT 2021 registration process began on 03 August 2021 and will end on 10 November 2021. The exam will take place over an 88-day period, beginning on 14 October 2021, and ending on 27 December  2021. The NMAT 2021 application must be filled after going through the detailed information and the application process. Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) released the NMAT 2021 application form online at the official website of the NMAT exam. 

To avoid late fees, candidates must register for the exam before NMAT registration last date. There is a provision for late NMAT registration between November 11th and November 15th, 2021, with a late registration charge of Rs.500. 

NMAT 2021 Registration Fees

The registration fee for the NMAT 2021 will be the same for everyone. You must pay Rs 2300/- if you register for NMAT before November 10th, 2021. (with additional taxes). If you register between November 11th and November 15th, 2021, you will be charged a late fee of Rs 500 in addition to the fixed registration fee of Rs 2300. As a result, the total price due for late NMAT registration is Rs 2800. (with additional taxes). If you want to take the NMAT more than once, you must pay an extra price of Rs 2300 (plus taxes) for each try. You must pay an extra fee of Rs 1200/- to reschedule your NMAT 2021 exam on a new day (with additional taxes).

How to Apply Online for NMAT 2021

  • Click on ‘Register Now’ under quick links. 
  • Register using the information asked such as name, a valid email id, mobile number, and choose a password. After submitting the details, you will receive an email regarding the login details.

  • Log in to access the NMAT by GMAC registration form and complete the NMAT application form with correct details. 

  • Choose the college and university names you wish to apply for under the “Schools Preference" section. You can choose up to 5 programs or schools. You can pay an additional fee for adding more colleges. 
  • Upload the scanned photograph & digital signature. Size should not exceed 1 MB.
  • Click on “Submit” and a unique NMAT by GMAC™ Registration Number will be displayed.

How to schedule NMAT 2021

After NMAT Registration 2021, you can schedule your NMAT 2021 exam between 14 October 2021 to 27 December 2021. Here are the steps to properly scheduling your NMAT exam:

How to reschedule NMAT 2021?

In select cases, NMAT candidates may be able to reschedule their exam if they have an emergency. You can postpone your NMAT 2021 exam to a later date if you have pre-booked a slot and are unable to keep to that timetable. However, you will not be able to reschedule your exam to the previously scheduled date. The exam rescheduling fee would be Rs 1200 including taxes.

NMAT Retake Rules: Candidates can retake the NMAT 2021 exam twice after the first attempt. GMAC allows up to 3 attempts with a 15 day gap.

NMAT by GMAC scores are accepted by more than 30 MBA Colleges across the country. You can go through the list of MBA College that accepts the NMAT Score for admissions. NMAT Colleges release the cutoff marks and then call candidates for further rounds of the admission process.

NMAT Cutoff Details

NMAT cut off marks are determined by individual NMAT participation institutes. Each college releases its own seat of cutoffs for various courses and categories. NMAT final cut off marks can be either released in the form of NMAT score or NMAT percentile. The NMAT Cut Off 2021 will be determined as per the difficulty level of the exam, the vacancies in the course and average performance by the students. There can be more determining factors for NMAT cutoff marks. 

NMAT Cutoff marks range from 150 to 200, and certain institutes will give preference to sectional cutoffs in addition to the overall NMAT Cutoff. NMIMS Bangalore requires a normalised score of 200, which is approximately 91.1 per cent, but NMIMS Mumbai requires a score of 208 and a percentile of 94 per cent.

The NMAT exam will be conducted either at the exam centre chosen by you or at home in an Online Proctored Form.

  • NMAT 2021 application form is available on the official website from August 03, 2021, to November 10, 2021.

  • Solving NMAT mock test is a good solution to practice a variety of questions and improve the accuracy level of solving questions in the examination. You can also download NMAT Question papers to have a better understanding of the exam. 

  • According to NMAT previous results, a scaled score between 222-238 is equivalent to 99 percentile, whereas a score of 217/216 was equivalent to 97 percentile and a score of 210/211 was equivalent to 94 percentile.

  • The NMAT application & exam fee (without any late fee) is Rs. 2000/-.

  • NMAT is quite easier in comparison to CAT as some topics such as Data Interpretation involve easy questions in NMAT than CAT which makes it relatively easy.

  • A maximum of 3 attempts is allowed for the NMAT exam.
