  • To be eligible for the CSIR NET 2023, candidates from the General (UR), General-EWS, and OBC categories must possess an M.Sc. or an equivalent degree, an integrated BS-MS, a BS-4-year degree, a BE, a B.Tech, a B. Pharma, or an MBBS with at least 55% marks.
  • Candidates from the SC/ST and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) categories must receive at least 50% in their M.Sc. or comparable degree, Integrated BS-MS, BS-4 years, BE, B. Tech, B. Pharma, or MBBS, or an equivalent degree.
  • Applicants with a B.Sc. (Hons.) or an equivalent degree who are currently enrolled in an integrated MS-Ph.D. program and have. received a minimum of 55% of their marks for General students (and 50% of their marks for SC, ST, and PWD candidates) are also eligible to take the CSIR NET exam.
  • If a bachelor's degree holder enrolls in a Ph.D. or integrated Ph.D. program within two years, they are eligible for the fellowship.
