CSIR NET 2023: CSIR HRDG released the final result for the Joint CSIR-UGC NET Result December-2023 on 19 February 2024. CSIR also released the cut- off for the CSIR UGGC NET Dec 2023 exam on 19th February 2023. The CSIR NET Exam was conducted on 26, 27 & 28 December 2023.

CSIR NET is a national-level exam conducted to select the eligible candidates for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Lectureship (LS)/ Assistant Professor in universities and colleges across India. CSIR NET is a test conducted to determine the eligibility of a candidate for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and for Lectureship (LS) /Assistant Professor in Indian universities and colleges. CSIR is conducted for 5 Science Subjects only: Life Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Physical Sciences, and Earth Sciences. The question paper comprises objective type multiple choice questions and is divided into 3 parts- A, B & C. The CSIR NET exam lasts three hours, and the total marks for the exam are 200. The paper pattern of every 5 subjects differs, including the negative marking. This exam is conducted twice and CSIR NET Dec 2023 application process began on 1st November 2023.

To be eligible for the CSIR NET exam, candidates must have a postgraduate degree in their respective science subject with a minimum of 55% marks (general category). The CSIR NET full form stands for the Council of Industrial And Scientific Research National Eligibility Test. The National Testing Agency administers the CSIR NET exam. NTA CSIR NET Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for the CSIR NET exam are important for candidates to fulfill in order to take the exam. The eligibility criteria ensure that only candidates who have the necessary educational qualifications and meet other requirements are allowed to appear for the exam. The authority has created certain requirements for Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor positions. The Junior Research Fellowship's age limit is 28 years for general candidates, 31 years for OBC and 33 years for ST/ST/PWD/Women candidates. CSIR NTA NET Educational Qualification

To apply online for the CSIR NET 2023, Candidates must have achieved the desired qualification. Candidates can check the education qualification below.

  • To be eligible for NTA CSIR NET, candidates from the General (UR), General-EWS, and OBC categories must possess an M.Sc. or an equivalent degree, an integrated BS-MS, a BS-4-year degree, a BE, a B.Tech, a B. Pharma, or an MBBS with at least 55% marks.
  • Candidates from the SC/ST and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) categories must receive at least 50% in their M.Sc. or comparable degree, Integrated BS-MS, BS-4 years, BE, B. Tech, B. Pharma, or MBBS, or an equivalent degree.
  • Applicants with a B.Sc. (Hons.) or an equivalent degree who are currently enrolled in an integrated MS-Ph.D. program and have. received a minimum of 55% of their marks for General students (and 50% of their marks for SC, ST, and PWD candidates) are also eligible to take the CSIR NET exam.
  • If a bachelor's degree holder enrolls in a Ph.D. or integrated Ph.D. program within two years, they are eligible for the fellowship.

CSIR NET Exam Pattern

  • Part A questions are the same for all disciplines. This section of the CSIR NET exam includes questions on Quantitative Comparison, Series Formation, Logical Reasoning, Graphical Analysis, Numerical Abilities, etc.
