SSC Stenographer 2022 exam dates have been rolled out. As per the latest updates, the commission is all set to conduct SSC Stenographer 2022 exam on 17 & 18 November 2022. Successfully registered candidates will be asked to appear for the CBT 1 exam. In addition, the Commission has announced the dates for the Document Verification round for the Grade 'C' and 'D' exam 2020 that will tentatively take place from 29 September to 1 October 2022. Candidates must appear for Document Verification on the date, time, and venue mentioned in their Admission certificate.

Earlier, the Staff Selection Commission uploaded the SSC Stenographer 2022 Notification PDF on its official website on 20 August 2022. SSC Stenographer 2022 Notification

Along with the release of notification, the apply online link is activated from 20 August to 05 September 2022. Candidates failing to fulfil the SSC Stenographer Eligibility will not be allowed to participate in the selection process and will be debarred at any stage of the exam. SSC Stenographer Age Limit

The SSC Stenographer age limit is 18 to 30 years for Grade C and 18 to 27 years for Grade D posts. The Date of Birth will be considered as per High-school or equivalent documents. SSC Stenographer Qualification

A candidate must have passed 10+2 (12th) exam/HSC or its equivalent degree from a recognized University or Board. Also, the candidates who are declared qualified in the Computer Based Examination and the Skill Test will be required to produce all the relevant certificates in original such as Marksheets, Provisional Certificates etc. for completion of 12th standard or equivalent examination as proof of having acquired the minimum educational qualification on or before 01.08.2022. The candidature of the candidates who fail to produce the documents will be cancelled by the Commission.

SSC Stenographer 2022 Selection Process

The selection for SSC Stenographer 2022 is done on the basis of two stages. Listed below are the 2 stages of SSC Stenographer Selection Process:

  1. Computer Based Test and
  2. Skill Test

Candidates must clear both the stages of the recruitment process to be considered for the Stenographer Grade C & Grade D posts. Those who fail to qualify the CBT exam won't be allowed to appear for the Skill test that requires a typing speed of 80 WPM in Hindi and 100 WPM in English. There will be no medical or interview rounds. The final result PDF will be prepared on the basis of the candidate's performance in both of these stages.

The SSC Stenographer 2022 exam will be of Graduation level having distribution as Easy Questions-20%, Medium level Questions-50% and Difficult Questions-30%. Candidates will be given 2 hours to attempt this exam and 160 minutes will be given to PwD candidates.     • SSC Stenographer Grade D age limit (as on 01.01.2022) - Minimum age 18 years and Maximum age is 27 years.
  • SSC Stenographer exam pattern consist of three different sections i.e. Reasoning, General Awareness, and English. The exam will be conducted in an online mode with objective type questions for a total of 200 marks. Candidates will have to attempt the SSC Stenographer exam in 2 hours.

  • After clearing the CBT, the shortlisted candidates are asked to appear for the shorthand typing test then they will be recruited for the SSC Stenographer Grade C & Grade D posts. It takes 7-8 months to learn shorthand and another 4-5 months to get a good hand on shorthand.
