As per the result and UPSC exam analysis, the UPSC 2022 Prelims Cut Off (expected) is 90-95 marks, as the paper was moderate-difficult. The UPSC Prelims Result 2022 has been released. UPSC Mains Cut Off 2022
The UPSC mains exam 2022 was held from 16 September to 25 September 2022. Candidates who cleared the UPSC Mains 2022 cut-off were eligible for the UPSC interview. The commission will soon release the UPSC cutoff 2022 for the mains exam on the official website.

UPSC Cutoff 2022
UPSC Cutoff is released by the Union Public Service Commission for the All-India Exam, Civil Services Examination (CSE) every year after the IAS Exam is completed. The UPSC Cutoff is published in three stages:
- UPSC Prelims Cutoff
- UPSC Mains Cutoff
- UPSC Final Cutoff
The UPSC Cutoff for prelims is based on General Studies 1, as the CSAT or General Studies 2 is only qualifying in nature. Qualifying Marks for UPSC Prelims CSAT is at least 33%. The Union Public Service Commission releases the UPSC Cut Off for both Prelims and Mains only after the final result of the Civil Services Exam is declared for that specific year.
- The first stage of the UPSC selection is called the Preliminary exam, and those who clear the UPSC Prelims cutoff will be eligible for Main Examination.
- Candidates who clear the UPSC Mains cutoff are called for the personality test.
- Final UPSC Cutoff 2022 is for the final merit list which is a combination of marks secured in mains and interview.

UPSC decides UPSC Prelims Cutoff based on marks obtained in GS Paper 1. It is important to note that candidates must qualify and secure a minimum of 33% marks in GS Paper 2 to be able to qualify for Prelims. UPSC Mains Cutoff

UPSC Cut Off: Tie-Breaking Rules
There are a few things every candidate must know about the selection based on UPSC Cutoff. When two or more candidates secure equal marks in the UPSC Exam, the tie will be resolved by applying the following rules.
- The candidate who scores more on compulsory papers and personality tests will be ranked higher.
- If the marks mentioned are also equal, then the candidate who is older will get a higher rank.
- In rare cases where the candidates score equally in the compulsory papers and the personality test, and also the same in age, then the candidate who has scored more marks only in compulsory papers will get a higher rank.
