SSC MTS 2023 Notification is released by the Staff Selection Commission to recruit 12523 posts of Multi-Tasking Staff, and Havaldar in CBIC & CBN. SSC MTS is a national-level examination conducted by the Staff Selection Commission every year to recruit eligible candidates for the post of Multitasking Staff in various central government departments, ministries, and offices. SSC MTS 2023 Latest Updates

  • 18 January 2023: SSC MTS notification 2023 has been released along with the application form. The notification also mentioned the new SSC MTS exam pattern along with other important details.
  • 02 January 2023: The notification PDF for SSC MTS 2023 is slated to be released on 17 January 2023 instead of 25 January. The SSC MTS notification will contain all the information related to this recruitment drive.
  • 16 November 2022: The admit card for the SSC MTS Physical test is released. It will be conducted from 21 November to 09 December 2022.

What is SSC MTS?

SSC MTS stands for Staff Selection Commission Multitasking Staff. It is a national-level exam that is conducted in two stages: Computer-based test and Descriptive Paper. After clearing these stages, the candidate will get selected for General Central Service Group ‘C’ Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial posts in various Central Government Ministries/Departments/Offices of the Government of India. This exam is also conducted to recruit eligible candidates for the Havaldar posts.

Candidates need to check and confirm their eligibility for the SSC MTS 2023 before they begin to fill out the application form. It is mandatory for candidates from a specific age group to hold the required qualification. The purpose of determining the SSC MTS eligibility, age limit and qualification is to hire the young generation and put people to work. SSC MTS Qualification

Candidates interested in applying for the SSC MTS 2023 exam must have a 10th class passing certificate from a recognized board. To be noted, the required qualification must be attained within the time period which is mentioned in the SSC MTS 2023 Notification.

SSC MTS Age Limit

The commission has divided the SSC MTS age limit into two groups and a separate number of vacancies are announced for both groups. Candidates fulfilling both the age groups will be counted in the age group of 18-25 years. Two age groups come under SSC MTS which are as follows:

  • Age Group 1: Minimum 18 years and maximum 25 years
  • Age Group 2: Minimum 18 years and maximum 27 years

Besides this, the officials have also given age relaxation for candidates belonging to SC/ST, OBC, PwD and other categories.

SSC MTS Admit Card

Every candidate who completes the registration process for SSC MTS 2023 can download the admit card from the official website. It is released 10 days prior to the exam date. The admit card for SSC MTS tier 1 exam will be released followed by the tier 2 exam.

Steps to Download the SSC MTS Admit Card

  • Visit the official site of the Staff Selection Commission (SSC)

SSC MTS 2023 Exam Pattern

This year, SSC has changed the SSC MTS exam pattern cancelling Paper 2 (Descriptive Paper). There will be only one exam i.e Computer-based Test. The SSC MTS exam pattern has been changed to 90 questions which were earlier 100 questions. The exam is now divided into two sessions with two modules each. The time duration for each module is 45 minutes, making the total duration of the exam 90 minutes. There will PET/PST for the post of Havaldar in CBIC and CBN.

SSC MTS Paper 1: It will be an objective type CBT test consisting of 90 questions and 2 sessions with 2 modules each. The first session includes Numerical & Mathematical Ability and Reasoning Ability & Problem-Solving. The second session will include General Awareness and English Language and Comprehension. Each question will carry a weightage of 3 marks and 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer marked in Session 2 by the candidate.

SSC MTS PET: Ony those candidates who have applied for the post of Havaldar in CBIC and CBN will be called for Physical Efficiency Test/Physical Standard Test after qualifying for the Tier 1 exam.

SSC MTS Selection Process
