SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam Date out. The Staff Selection Commission is all set to conduct the tier 2 exam from 02 to 07 March 2023. SSC CGL 2023 is a national-level competitive exam to recruit graduates for various Group 'B' and 'C' posts in the Central Government departments. Through this exam, the Staff Selection Commission fills Grade “B” and “C” category posts like Assistant Audit Officer, Assistant Section Officer, Sub-Inspector, etc in various Government Ministries.   • 07 January 2023: The officials have released the revised vacancies for SSC CGL 2023. A total of 37,409 vacancies have been announced.
  • 06 February 2023: SSC CGL Exam Date for tier 2 has been announced. The exam will be held from 02 to 07 March 2023.

NRA CET for SSC CGL Exam

NRA CET for the SSC CGL 2023 exam has been initiated by the Union Cabinet which will be conducted by the NRA (National Recruitment Agency). The Common Eligibility Test (CET) will now be held for Tier 1 of the SSC CGL exam. Also, the score obtained in the CET exam will be valid for the next 3 years.

What is SSC CGL?

SSC CGL stands for "Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate Level", the most popular government job exam in India. Every year around 30-40 lakhs eligible candidates fill the application form and around 15-20 lakh aspirants appear in the CGL exam. SSC CGL 2023 Cut Off

The Staff Selection Commission will be releasing SSC CGL cut off in January 2023 for the candidates who have appeared in the Tier 1 exam for filling various reputed Group B & C posts. SSC CGL Eligibility

SSC CGL 2023 eligibility includes various parameters that aspirants need to satisfy in order to see their name in the final selection list like educational qualification, age limit, physical standards, etc. Check out the following eligibility criteria that must be fulfilled by the candidates:

SSC CGL Age Limit: SSC has increased the age limit for SSC CGL 2023 recruitment, though the age varies from post to post. The minimum age limit defined is 18 years and the maximum age limit is 32 years. This age limit criteria varies from post to post and for different categories of people which is given in detail in the next section. Candidates can also check the age relaxations available for different categories of people.

Nationality: A candidate must be a resident of Indian territory with valid ID proof, a subject of Nepal or Bhutan, a Tibetan refugee who moved to India before 1962 with an intention to settle down permanently in India, or a person of Indian origin who has moved from Pakistan, Burma, Uganda, Tanzania, Kenya, Sri Lanka, Zambia, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with intention of settling down permanently in India.

SSC CGL Qualification

As per the official SSC CGL Notification 2023, candidates should have a graduate degree on or before 01.08.2022. Candidates, who are in the final year of graduation can also apply with their provisional degrees. However, the SSC CGL qualification varies from post to post.

SSC CGL Age Limit

The Commission has refined the SSC CGL age limit for some posts. In general, the minimum age to apply is 18 years and the maximum age is 32 years. The apply online link for SSC CGL 2023 will be made available on the official website of SSC i.e ssc.nic.in. Many aspirants wait eagerly for the apply online process to start and to fill out the application form to get one step closer to their desired government job. The commission will open the registration window for SSC CGL 2023 from 01 April to 01 May (tentative). Candidates who wish to participate in the process must fill in authentic and accurate information or else they won't be allowed to appear for SSC CGL 2023 exam.

It is highly advised to the candidates to submit their application form within the allotted time as no forms will be accepted once the link is deactivated. Last year, the SSC CGL apply online window opened window from 17 September to 13 October 2022.

Steps to Apply Online for SSC CGL 2023

  • To fill out the SSC CGL application form, register on the official website of the Staff Selection Commission through a valid email ID.
  • Login using the registration ID and password you received on your email ID, which you entered while registering.
  • Upload a scanned photograph, signature & other relevant documents.
  • Pay the SSC CGL 2023 application fee. However, candidates must note that the payment should be done through the online process (Debit Card/Credit Card/Internet Banking/Wallets).
  • Click the submit button for application form submission.
  • Now take the printout of the application form.

SSC CGL 2023 Admit Card

The Staff Selection Commission released the SSC CGL Admit Card for the Tier 1 Exam on 21 November onwards on their respective regional websites. Candidates who have applied for SSC CGL Exam have to download their SSC CGL Tier 1 Admit Card to know the exam date and venue. SSC CGL admit card is an important document that must be carried to the exam center on the date of examination. The authorities release hall tickets for all nine regions 10 days prior to the exam date. The SSC CGL Tier 2 will be conducted in 3 phases- Paper 1, Paper 2, and Paper 3. SSC CGL selection process has been changed from this recruitment cycle. Now the exam will be conducted in two tiers only, which are further categorised into different sessions and modules. The Staff Selection Commission uploads the provisional and final SSC CGL answer key for each tier separately. The tier 1 answer key is issued on 17 December 2022.
