SSC CGL 2022

Every year, the Staff Selection Commission conducts the Combined Graduate Level Examination, popularly known as SSC CGL, to recruit eligible candidates for various posts in the departments and ministries of the Indian Government. NRA CET for SSC CGL Exam

NRA CET for the SSC CGL 2022 exam has been initiated by the Union Cabinet which will be conducted by the NRA (National Recruitment Agency). The Common Eligibility Test (CET) will now be held for Tier 1 of the SSC CGL exam. Also, the score obtained in the CET exam will be valid for the next 3 years.

What is SSC CGL?

SSC CGL stands for "Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate Level", the most popular government job exam in India. Every year around 30-40 lakhs eligible candidates fill the application form and around 15-20 lakh aspirants appear in the CGL exam. Steps to Apply Online for SSC CGL 2022

  • To fill out the SSC CGL application form, register on the official website of the Staff Selection Commission through a valid email ID.
  • Login using the registration ID and password you received on your email ID which you entered while registering.
  • Upload a scanned photograph, signature & other relevant documents.
  • Pay the SSC CGL 2022 application fee. However, candidates must note that the payment should be done through the online process (Debit Card/Credit Card/Internet Banking/Wallets).
  • Click the submit button for application form submission.
  • Now take the printout of the application form.

SSC CGL Eligibility

SSC CGL 2022 eligibility includes various parameters that aspirants need to satisfy in order to see their name in the final selection list like educational qualification, age limit, physical standards, etc. Check out the following eligibility criteria that must be fulfilled by the candidates:

SSC CGL Qualification

As per the official SSC CGL Notification 2022, candidates should have a graduate degree on or before 01.01.2022. Candidates, who are in the final year of graduation can also apply with their provisional degrees. However, the SSC CGL qualification varies from post to post.

SSC CGL Age Limit: SSC has increased the age limit for SSC CGL 2022 recruitment, though the age varies from post to post. The minimum age limit defined is 18 years and the maximum age limit is 32 years. This age limit criteria varies from post to post and for different categories of people which is given in detail in the next section. Candidates can also check the age relaxations available for different categories of people.

Nationality: A candidate must be a resident of Indian territory with valid ID proof, a subject of Nepal or Bhutan, a Tibetan refugee who moved to India before 1962 with an intention to settle down permanently in India, or a person of Indian origin who has moved from Pakistan, Burma, Uganda, Tanzania, Kenya, Sri Lanka, Zambia, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with intention of settling down permanently in India.

SSC CGL 2022 Selection Process

There are 4 stages/tiers in the SSC CGL selection process. While Tier 1 and 2 are computer-based tests, Tier 3 and 4 are descriptive exams and skill tests respectively. Take a look at the selection procedure of SSC CGL below.
