SSC CHSL Qualification

Another important parameter in the SSC CHSL eligibility 2022 is the minimum education qualification required to apply for the exam. To appear in the exam, the aspirants should pass the 12th Standard Exam or intermediate exam from a recognized Board or University. In order to be eligible for SSC CHSL exam, you must have passed the 12th Standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University on or before 01 January 2022.

Note: For Data Entry Operator in the Office of Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG): 12th Standard pass in Science stream with Mathematics as a subject from a recognized Board or equivalent.

If the applicant possesses a Diploma/ Certificate/ Degree obtained through open Universities or Distance Education Mode, then that must be recognized by the University Grants Commission

SSC CHSL Eligibility: Nationality/Citizenship

There are certain conditions related to SSC CHSL eligibility criteria for Nationality that must be taken into consideration to be eligible for the exam. Candidates appearing for the exam must be either:

  • Citizen of India
  • A Subject of either Nepal or Bhutan 
  • A Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
  • A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania(Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
