RRB Group D Eligibility Criteria 2022 is announced for the 1 Lakh+ Railway Group D vacancies to be filled and candidates must take note of the instructions issued. In the recent notification, Indian Railways has stated that candidates do not require an Industrial Training Institute (ITI) certificate. However, there are still other RRB Group D Eligibility Criteria that candidates need to clear to be eligible for Group D Exam. To ensure that they are eligible for the examination, candidates must ensure that they meet the following parameters.

RRB Group D Age Limit

The most basic requirement in the RRB Group D eligibility is that the candidate must fall in the right age bracket. The RRB Group D age limit is 18 and 33 years. This is of prime importance because candidates who don’t fall in the designated RRB Group D age limit will not be eligible and will be disqualified later. RRB Group D Age Relaxation

Under the RRB Group D Eligibility, certain candidates can get the benefit of age relaxation norms set by the Indian Railways. Candidates must note that the relaxation is only valid for people belonging to the specific reserved categories. The age relaxation is applied to the upper RRB Group D age limit of the age bracket, which means the candidates who are eligible for it can have more number of attempts. RRB Group D Eligibility: Nationality

RRB Group D Eligibility as per nationality mandates a candidate to be a resident of India or the prescribed countries only. An applicant must meet any one of the below-mentioned criteria.

  • A citizen of India.
  • A subject of Nepal or Bhutan.
  • Tibetan refugees who arrived in India before January 1, 1962.
  • A person of Indian descent who has moved to India permanently from the following countries: Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Burma and the East African countries.

RRB Group D Qualification

Similar to the age limit criteria, the Railway Recruitment Board has also specified a minimum educational qualification for candidates under RRB Group D eligibility. Hence, every applicant must meet the educational qualification requirements to be considered for the positions listed under RRB Group D.   • Candidates must have cleared the 10th standard from a recognised board of education.
  • Candidates must have an ITI degree OR a National Apprenticeship Certificate granted by the NCVT.

  • As per the latest amendments in the RRB Group D eligibility, candidates who do not have the Industrial Training Institute (ITI) certificate can also apply for Group D recruitment if they have passed class 10th from the recognized board.

RRB Group D Eligibility: PET/PST

Physical fitness and meeting medical standards is important to clear the RRB Group D Eligibility. However, physical fitness can mean different things for different exams. Hence, candidates applying for the Group D exam must have a good understanding of the physical requirements set by the Board. RRB Group D Eligibility 2022 Medical Test

Candidates who will clear all the stages will be asked to appear for medical examination, hence, it is the last and the most important RRB Group D selection process stage. Candidates will have to fulfil all eligibility criteria to sail through this round smoothly. If they fail to clear it, they won't be considered for the RRB Group C & D posts. Candidates' medical test will be conducted by checking their vision and other basic tests to determine whether they are medically fit or not.
