UPSC Topper 2022 List was released recently by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on their official website. The topper for UPSC 2022 was Shruti Sharma. Female candidates held the top three positions in the UPSC topper list. In its topper list, the Commission declared that 685 had been recommended for appointment against the 749 vacancies mentioned in the notification.
The UPSC toppers have a massive following in India, as the exam is considered one of the most prestigious services. The IAS toppers are called for various talks and interviews and are asked to motivate aspiring candidates. UPSC Topper 2022
The UPSC Topper 2022 is Shruti Sharma. Hailing from the district of Bijnor in Uttar Pradesh, Shruti Sharma, who secured the All India Rank 01, completed her schooling in New Delhi. She graduated from St. Stephens College, University of Delhi, bagging an undergraduate degree in History. Following this, she joined the prestigious Jawaharlal Nehru University for her Master’s in Sociology but left that mid-way to pursue her dreams of becoming an IAS officer.
UPSC topper Shruti Sharma prepared for the Civil Services exam at Jamia Millia Islamia Residential Coaching Academy (RCA) in Delhi, along with her PG degree from the Delhi School of Economics at Delhi University. UPSC topper Shruti Sharma, elated with success, gives credit for her achievement to her family and folks and looks forward to joining the IAS.
As per the UPSC toppers marks released by the officials, she had scored 173 marks in Prelims and 932 in Mains making a total of 1105 marks in the IAS Exam. UPSC topper 2022, Shruti had History as her optional subject.
IAS Toppers 2022: 2nd and 3rd AIR
The second name in the UPSC Topper List 2022 is Ankita Agarwal, followed by Gamini Singla. Ankita Agarwal, who hails from Kolkata, was very sure of her attempt at the UPSC. She had no grey areas in her career plans. This was her second attempt at the CSE exam. Ankita Agarwal is a 2018 batch IRS Officer undergoing training.
During her recent interviews, she highlighted that the UPSC exam tests perseverance and dedication. She focused on the parts where one should keep the sources limited, revising the basic NCERT Books for UPSC repeatedly. Controlling the limited sources helps to frame the right preparation strategy. She chose Political Science and International Relations as her Optional Subject.
Gamini Singla, a BTech in Computer Science Engineering from Punjab Engineering College (PEC) Chandigarh, secured All India Rank 3 in the UPSC topper list declared by the Commission. Gamini Singla is 23 years old. It was Gamini’s second attempt at the exam. She relied on self-study and did not take any coaching for her UPSC preparation. During the recent interview, she emphasized the current affairs’ weightage in the exam.

UPSC Topper 2023
The name of the UPSC topper 2023 will be released after the declaration of the final result of the 2022 exam cycle, which is expected to be out in April/May 2023 as per the last few years’ trends. The complete details of the optional subject, booklist, preparation tips, and marks of UPSC topper 2023 will be shared with you here once it is officially released. Last year, the Prelims exam was conducted on 05 June 2022 and the Mains exam took place from 16 to 25 September 2022. The interviews of the selected candidates were scheduled from 30 January to 10 March 2023.

UPSC Topper 2020
The IAS Topper for 2020 was Shubham Kumar. Hailing from the Katihar district of Bihar, Shubham pursued BTech in civil engineering from IIT-Bombay. This was his third attempt at the UPSC Exam and he was undergoing training for IDAS when the UPSC Result 2020 was announced. He chose Anthropology as an optional subject for his UPSC Mains. Shubham Kumar wants to focus on poverty alleviation and the development of villages and their people in his role as an IAS officer.
The second UPSC Topper or the merit holder for 2020 UPSC was Jagriti Awasthi, followed by Ankita Jain Tyagi. Hailing from Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh, Jagriti left her job at BHEL, a Navratna Company, to pursue her dream of becoming an IAS Officer. She completed her graduation in BE Electricals from Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology. She focused more on self-study.
Ankita Jain Tyagi, the AIR 3 of the UPSC Topper 2020 is a resident of Agra. She prepared for the UPSC Exam along with her sister Vaishali Jain had secured rank 21 in the UPSC 2020. She married Abhinav Tyagi, an IPS officer. Ankita focuses on the fact that it is crucial for the exam that one is familiar with the UPSC Syllabus and has the basics clear.
