CMAT 2023 result is now released on the official website of NTA. As per the latest updates, CMAT 2023 exam was successfully conducted on 4 May 2023 in 2 shifts in various exam centres across the country. The exam conducting authority has declared the official notification of CMAT on its official website. Below we have listed all the important updates of the upcoming CMAT for your reference.

  • 31 May 2023: The authority has released CMAT 2023 results on its official website. You can now check and download your results in the form of a scorecard.
  • 12 May 2023: The authority has released the provisional answer key on its official website. It remained open for challenge till 14 May 2023.
  • 4 May 2023: CMAT exam date 2023 is now declared. NTA has conducted the exam in 2 shifts on this scheduled date in different exam centres across the country.
  • 1 May 2023: CMAT admit card is released for all candidates who have successfully registered for the candidates.
  • 27 April 2023: The exam conducting body has declared the test city intimation slip for all the registered candidates on its official website.
  • 14-16 March 2023: All the candidates were given the facility to correct their registration form online on the official website of NTA.
  • 13 March 2023 (5:00 PM): The NTA official has closed the CMAT registration link for the academic session 2023-2025 on its official website

What is CMAT?

Common Management Admission Test or CMAT is a national-level aptitude test conducted by NTA for admission into AICTE institutes for MBA/PGDM courses. As per the latest official updates, CMAT 2023 is successfully administered by NTA on 4 May 2023 in 2 shifts. There are 5 sections in the syllabus, listed as follows:

  • Logical Reasoning
  • Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation
  • General Awareness
  • Language Comprehension,
  • Innovation & Entrepreneurship.

The total CMAT exam duration is 3 hours and a total of 100 MCQ questions (25 questions in each section) are asked. The difficulty level is usually moderate but you can expect highway level of competition due to the high number of applicants. Last year, the authority made changes in the CMAT pattern and added Innovation and Entrepreneurship as a compulsory section (till 2021, it was optional). So, the candidates appearing in the upcoming CMAT 2023, can expect the same pattern and number of questions.

Why do I Appear for CMAT 2023?

There are several benefits of taking part in the CMAT exam. This is the only exam that is conducted at the end of the MBA exam session. So you need not study so much, as you may already appear for other exams, like CAT, NMAT, XAT etc.

  • The overall difficulty level of CMAT is usually easy to moderate, so this exam is easy to crack.
  • The score of this exam is accepted by more than 1300+ colleges in India, which also includes the institutes located in Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities.
  • CMAT fees for women and reserved category candidates are less as compared to the other exams in India.
  • There are no such criteria for getting 50% marks in aggregate to appear in CMAT. So candidates with bachelor's degrees can appear for this exam.

CMAT Result 2023 cum Scorecard

The CMAT 2023 results are released along with the scorecard by NTA on 31 May 2023. The candidates can download CMAT Results by using their login credentials. Note the steps below to know the steps to download the scorecard cum result of CMAT 2023.

  • Log in to the official website of CMAT
  • Click on the 'NTA CMAT 2023 scorecard' tab
  • Enter login credentials correctly.
  • Click on the 'Submit' tab, and download the CMAT scorecard.

CMAT 2023 Answer Key

The officials of NTA released the answer keys for CMAT 2023 on its official website on 12 May 2023. It consists of a question paper and a response sheet for individual candidates. The aspirants can download the official CMAT 2023 answer keys from the official website by using their login credentials. Note the below steps to download the answer keys.

  • Log in to the NTA CMAT official website
  • Click on the 'Download CMAT 2023 Answer Key' tab
  • Enter your application number and DOB, or Login Password
  • Click on 'Answer Key Link'
  • Download the answer keys for CMAT 2023 and cross-check your responses with the official answers.

There is also an option for challenging the answers is also provided by the NTA authority. If the aspirants find that the answer provided by the CMAT 2023 authority is incorrect, then they can challenge it by filling out an online form by 14 May 2023. If it is found valid, the official CMAT answer keys will be revised under any circumstances.

CMAT Cut Off 2023

The aspirants will get cut-off marks after the declaration of the result for appearing in the further selection round. CMAT 2023 Cut Off is accepted by more than 1300 institutes in India. Check the below table to know the previous year's cutoffs of CMAT which went to the 90+ percentile.

CMAT 2023 Selection Process

The following stages will be included for admission into the top colleges through the CMAT. The selection procedure for the CMAT is

  • Screening of aspirants based on percentile
  • Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI)
  • Selection of candidates for admission based on a Composite Score in CMAT

Who is Eligible for CMAT?

The aspirants thinking of appearing in the upcoming CMAT 2023 must check the eligibility criteria before registering for the exam. The detailed CMAT Eligibility includes mainly the educational qualification, age limit, and nationality.

CMAT Nationality

Only Indian citizens are eligible for this exam. Aspirants belonging to other citizenships are not eligible to appear for the exam. If the NTA CMAT authority finds any discrepancies related to your citizenship, they will cancel your application at any stage of the selection process.

CMAT Age Limit

As per the official notification, there is no restriction on the upper age limit in CMAT. If the candidates fulfil the basic educational requirements, they can apply for the exam, as many times as they want. Additionally, there are no limits on the number of attempts

CMAT Educational Qualification

The minimum education requirement is graduation, i.e., you must be graduated from any recognized university in any stream. If you are in your final year, you are also eligible to apply for CMAT 2023.

  • Final year students: The candidates whose results will be declared before the beginning of the CMAT admission process can apply for the exam.

CMAT Registration 2023

NTA authority has now closed CMAT 2023 registration link on its official website. To apply for the CMAT, candidates must complete CMAT Registration and fill out the application form on the official website before the last date. The CMAT fee is the same as the last year.

Note the below steps to complete the registration process for CMAT registration process.

  • Visit the official website of CMAT
  • Register for CMAT Exam 2023 with your valid email id, phone number, and other personal details.
  • You will receive a registration number and a password on your email id and phone number.
  • Log in using the CMAT 2023 registration number and password.
  • Once you have logged in, you will be required to complete the application form by entering your personal details, academic qualification, work experience (if any), and other details.
  • Select the centre and test cities for CMAT 2023
  • Then, upload the required documents, such as photographs and signatures.
  • Once you have followed all the above steps, you will be required to make a payment.
  • Before making the payment of CMAT, make sure to preview your application form and make corrections if needed.
  • Lastly, make the payment online for CMAT 2023.
  • Finally, take a printout of the duly filled application form for future reference.

CMAT Exam Pattern 2023

The candidates must be very clear about the pattern of CMAT 2023 before starting their preparation, as there has been little change in the previous year. Note the below guiding points to get updated information CMAT Exam Pattern.

  • There are 5 sections in CMAT: Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension, General Awareness, and Innovation & Entrepreneurship.
  • The questions are MCQs in nature.
  • Number of questions in every section is 20
  • Total CMAT time duration is 3 hours
  • Marking scheme for CMAT: +4 will be awarded for every correct answer. On the contrary, -1 will be deducted for every incorrect answer.
