KVS eligibility is the basic requirement that a candidate must meet in order to take the exam. Only those candidates who meet the eligibility criteria are eligible to apply for the recruitment. KVS PGT Eligibility 2023

Candidates who wish to apply for post-graduate teacher vacancies must meet the KVS PGT eligibility criteria for educational qualification as mentioned in the official notification of the PGT vacancies. The eligibility criteria for PGT in KVS are mentioned here:

  • Two Year Integrated Post Graduate M.Sc./MA Course from Regional College of Education of NCERT in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate. OR
    Master’s Degree from a recognized university with at least 50% marks in aggregate in concerned subjects as mentioned in the below table.
  • B.Ed. or equivalent qualification from a recognized University for all the above PGT posts except Information & Technology.
  • Proficiency in Teaching Hindi and English languages.

KVS TGT Eligibility 2023

Before applying for TGT positions, candidates must first check their KVS TGT eligibility for trained graduate teachers. It is necessary to meet the educational eligibility criteria in order to take the exam. The criteria are outlined in the official notification of Trained Graduate Teacher vacancies.   • Four years integrated degree course of Regional College of Education of NCERT with at least 50% marks in the concerned subject and in the aggregate. OR
  • A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from a recognized University with 50% marks or above in aggregate and in the concerned subject comprising the combination as mentioned in the table below.
  • B.Ed. or equivalent from a recognized University.
  • Should pass the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET Paper-II) by CBSE.

KVS PRT Eligibility 2023

Before applying for PRT vacancies, it is critical to check the KVS PRT Eligibility for primary teacher positions. Candidates can review the KVS PRT educational qualifications, which were released along with the official notification. The following is the minimum educational requirement for the position:

KVS PRT Eligibility for Computer Teacher

KVS PRT Eligibility for Music Teacher

When applying for a music teacher vacancy, candidates must meet the minimum KVS PRT eligibility. The concerned board notifies the eligibility criteria for KVS PRT Music teacher posts in the official notification. The KVS PRT Music Teacher education qualification is mentioned here:

  • Senior Secondary School Certificate with 50% marks or Intermediate with 50% marks or its equivalent and Bachelor's Degree in Music or equivalent from a recognized University.

KVS Eligibility 2023: Nationality

As per the official notification, there are no such criteria of nationality in KVS eligibility. Any citizen with the desired educational qualification can apply for a KVS teacher. However, nationality can be considered during the time of final selection. Any foreign national will be considered only if there is no Indian national on the waitlist.

KVS Number of Attempts

There is no such limited number of attempts for KVS eligibility for TGT, PRT, and PGT. Candidates can apply for the post of KVS Teacher any number of times to improve their scores. It is compulsory to meet the desired KVS eligibility criteria for educational qualification and the age limit to apply for this exam.

  • KVS 2023 Eligibility is the minimum required to apply for the KVS recruitment exam. It includes the age limit, qualification, relaxation, nationality, number of attempts, and more. It is divided into two parts teaching and non-teaching post criteria. The teaching posts include the PGT, TGT, PRT, and PRT (Music), whereas the non-teaching posts include the principal, vice-principal, LDC, UDC, Stenographer, ASO, and more.

  • Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan has released the age limit for the various posts under KVS recruitment. The age limit for each post is different according to the latest notification. For PRT, it is 30 years. For Librarians and TGT, it is 35 years. For PGT teachers, it is 40 years. For the principal, it is 50 years, and for the vice principal, the age limit is 45 years.

  • To meet KVS eligibility for PGT, a candidate must have two Year Integrated Post Graduate M.Sc./MA Course with at least 50% marks in aggregate or a Master’s Degree from a recognized university with at least 50% in aggregate. The age limit is 40 years.

  • Yes, for the PGT (Computer Science) post through KVS recruitment, students can apply if he/she has 50% marks in BE/ BTech ( Computer engineering / IT) or BE/ BTech in any stream and a PG diploma in computer applications.

  • Sangathan recently revised PRT eligibility for KVS. Candidates must have a senior secondary equivalent, with 50% marks from any recognized university or board. The candidates must have knowledge of computers and English/Hindi. The age limit for KVS PRT is 30 years.

  • The eligibility for KVS teacher posts is divided into primary school teacher, trained graduate teacher, and post-graduate teacher. For the PRT post, candidates must have a 12th or equivalent from a board with 50% marks.  PGT candidates must have post-graduation with B.Ed. from a university or college. For TGT, the candidates must graduate with a B.Ed degree from a university or college and a CTET certificate.

  • Yes, CTET is mandatory to appear in the KVS teaching exam. It is compulsory to check the complete educational and age limit criteria for each vacancy before applying for any vacancy under KVS exam.

  •  Yes, B.ed is mandatory for TGT. To meet the KVS TGT eligibility, A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with 50% marks or above in aggregate with the right subject combination is required for applying for the post of TGT.

  • For the post of KVS primary teacher (PRT), candidates must not be more than 30 years of age. It is important to meet the minimum and maximum KVS PRT eligibility criteria to apply for a particular post.
