CTET Eligibility 2022

CTET Revised Eligibility Criteria 2022

BSE has announced revised CTET eligibility for the upcoming exam. As per revised eligibility, a candidate undergoing the Teacher Training Course (TTC) can now apply for the TET exam. The notice was released on 4th August 2022. The notice by NCTE states that even the appearing candidates can now apply for the exam. CTET Age Limit 2022

It is important to meet the CTET eligibility age criteria to apply for the exam. Candidates must have age as declared by the official board to be eligible to apply for the exam. The CTET eligibility age limit is decided by the concerned board.

There are no particular age limit criteria listed in the eligibility for the exam. Candidates must be at least 18 years old to apply for the exam. CTET Educational Qualification 2022

CTET Paper 1 Eligibility 

Candidates applying as teachers for classes 1st to 5th in primary schools must check the CTET Paper 1 eligibility for education criteria before applying for the exam. Paper 1 is for primary teachers. CTET Paper 1 Qualification Criteria

  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), by the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002. OR
  • Senior Secondary (or it's equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passing or appearing in the final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education). OR
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed).

CTET Paper 2 Eligibility

Candidates applying as a teacher for classes 6th to 8th in government schools must first check the CTET Paper 2 eligibility. It is important to meet the basic educational qualification required to apply for paper 2. The CTET eligibility for paper 2 is mentioned below:

CTET Paper 2 Qualification Criteria 

  • Graduation and passing or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). OR
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed). OR
  • Graduation with at least 45% marks and passing or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), by the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard. OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4-year B.A/B. Sc. Ed or B.A.Ed/ B. Sc. Ed. OR
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education).

CTET Reservation Criteria 2022

It is important to check the CTET reservation criteria to be eligible for the exam. Candidates who achieve the minimum qualifying marks in the examination are declared qualified. Reservation criteria are an essential part of the CTET eligibility 2022. 

As per CTET 2022 eligibility criteria, candidates in the general category must score at least 60%. Reserved categories such as scheduled caste (SC), scheduled tribe (ST), other backward class (OBC), and differently abled get a 5% relaxation.
