CTET Eligibility is formulated by the concerned authorities of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The eligibility criteria for applying to Paper 1 and Paper 2 are distinct. Hence, candidates should check the CTET eligibility criteria 2023 before applying for the upcoming exam. Detailed eligibility will be provided in the notification released by CBSE. 

CTET Eligibility Criteria are the basic requirements that a candidate must meet in order to take the exam. CTET Eligibility 2023

CTET Eligibility was recently revised for both papers. Candidates currently admitted or undergoing Teaching Training Courses (TTC) can apply for the CTET exam. Candidates must go through the Paper 1 and Paper 2 eligibility before filling out the CTET Application Form

Candidates can check their education, Nationality, and CTET age limit criteria within the notification of the exam. If any candidate fails to meet these parameters, then the candidate will not be allowed to appear for the exam. CTET Eligibility 2023 depends on the following criteria:

Revised CTET Eligibility

National Council for Teaching Education (NCTE) had revised the eligibility criteria for candidates pursuing Teacher Training Courses (TTC) in 2022. We have provided detailed changes made recently by authorities. Candidates must complete the New CTET Eligibility 2023 form.

  • Candidates who are undergoing any Teaching Training Course (TTC) are referred to as "Pursuing" and they are eligible for the exam.
  • Aspirants whose appointment was challenged are eligible for the CTET exam.
  • Candidates with post graduation with minimum 55% marks or equivalent and 3-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed.
  • The eligibility rules defined by the appropriate agency or recruitment body, such as Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangthan or Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, also apply to get the job.
  • A CTET certificate does not guarantee that candidates will be hired. It is a prerequisite for teacher positions.

CTET Eligibility 2023 for Paper 1

Candidates who want to get a job as a teacher for classes 1st to 5th in primary schools must check the CTET Paper 1 Eligibility before applying for the exam. To apply for this position, you must have a basic educational qualification. Check the table for CTET Eligibility for Paper 1:

CTET Eligibility For Paper 2

Candidates applying as teachers for classes 6th to 8th in government schools must first check the CTET Paper 2 eligibility. It is important to meet the basic educational qualification required to apply for paper 2. The CTET Eligibility 2022 for paper 2 is mentioned below:

CTET Age Limit 2023

To apply for the exam, candidates must meet the CTET Age Limit 2023 criteria. No particular age limit criteria are listed in the exam eligibility. Candidates must be at least 18 years old to apply for the exam. The maximum age limit for taking the CTET Eligibility exam is not specified in the CTET Eligibility. CTET Eligibility 2023: Nationality

The nationality of the candidate is an important factor in CTET Eligibility 2023. The candidate must be an Indian citizen or meet one of the following nationality requirements. Candidates are advised to review the following guidelines in order to meet the CTET eligibility criteria for nationality:

  • A Nepalese subject.
  • A Bhutanese subject.
  • A Tibetian who arrived In India before the 1st of January 1962 to settle permanently in India.
  • Candidates who have migrated from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Ethiopia, Vietnam, and Burma permanently reside in India.

CTET Eligibility Criteria For Reserved Category

It is critical to check CTET eligibility for the reserved category. Candidates who achieve the minimum qualifying marks in the examination are declared qualified. Reservation criteria are an essential component of CTET Eligibility 2023. Candidates in the general category must score at least 60% according to the most recent eligibility criteria. Number of Attempts For CTET Exam

There is no limit to the number of attempts a candidate can take the exam as per the latest CTET Eligibility 2023.
