UGC NET Cut Off Marks

The UGC NET cut off marks depend on two factors mentioned below:

  • The aggregate percentage obtained by candidates
  • Number of available slots

How to calculate cut off marks for UGC NET?

NTA releases the UGC NET cut-off with the result in a separate PDF. It is determined by considering the predetermined candidates that NTA takes for ‘Assistant Professor only’ and ‘Assistant Professor and JRF’. NTA takes the top 6 per cent of the candidates for Assistant Professor only and the top 0.5 per cent for ‘Assistant Professor and JRF’. The cut-off is the minimum marks that candidates secure to qualify for UGC NET or JRF. NTA releases the cut-off separately for both categories.
