Delhi Police Constable Educational Qualifications

The applicants must have passed at least higher secondary (class 12th) or an equivalent from a recognized government board or institution. However, relaxations are given to certain candidates who fulfil the below-mentioned Delhi Police Constable educational qualification norms:

  • Class 11th passed buglers, mounted constable, bandsmen, dispatch riders, and other personnel of Delhi Police are eligible to apply.
  • Class 11th passed sons and daughters of deceased, serving, or retired police personnel of Delhi Police, and Multi-tasking staff are also eligible to apply for the Delhi Police Constable recruitment.

Delhi Police Constable Physical Standard Test Eligibility

Candidates who clear the Paper 1 or the written test will be called for the Delhi Police Constable Physical Measurement and Endurance Test to check their eligibility as per the table mentioned below:

Delhi Police Constable Medical Standards Eligibility

All the candidates who qualify the Delhi Police Constable Physical Test will be asked to appear for the last round i.e Medical Test. The candidates need to get themselves examined by a Medical Officer in any Central/ State government hospital. They need to be mentally fit, and free from defects/ diseases/ deformities, vision 6/12 without glasses, free from colour blindness or any other visual problem. 

Delhi Police Constable Eligibility 2023- Important Points

  • All the candidates must have a valid driving license (Car or bike) for the posts of Male Constables under Delhi Police.
  • Candidates who are applying for relaxation through reservation must have certificate proof proving the claimed criteria during the Physical Measurement Test.

Delhi Police Constable Eligibility Criteria- Number of Attempts

There is no limit on the number of attempts a candidate can take. The candidate can appear for the examination as long as he fulfils the Delhi Police Constable age limit criteria. However, if the Commission updates any specific number of attempts we will mention it here.

  • The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has not specified any particular grade or marks as of yet. Your Class 12th passing certificate and marksheet are enough to apply for the Delhi Police Constable exam.

  • As per the latest Delhi Police Constable Eligibility Criteria 2023, male candidates belonging to the unreserved category must be 170 cms. However, male candidates belonging to the reserved category should be 165 cms.
