HTET Syllabus 2023

HTET Syllabus Level 1 (Primary Teacher)

Candidates applying for the Level 1 exam must be well-versed in the topics of Child Development and Pedagogy, Language (Hindi and English), Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability, Haryana G.K. & Awareness, Mathematics, and Environmental Studies. The questions in the Level 1 exam will be based on topics from the prescribed syllabus for classes 1 to 5, but their difficulty level may be up to the secondary stage.

HTET Syllabus Level 2 (Trained Graduate Teacher)

The level 2 syllabus of HTET comprises Child Development and Pedagogy, Languages (Hindi and English), Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability, Haryana G.K. & Awareness, and Subject Specific topics ( as opted).

The questions in the Level-2 exam will be based on topics from the syllabus prescribed by the Board of School Education Haryana for classes 6 to 10, but their difficulty level may extend up to the senior secondary stage.

  • HTET Level 2 Syllabus CDP: educational psychology of teaching and learning (for 11-16 years children), understanding the characteristics, needs, and psychology of diverse learners, interaction with learners, and the attributes and qualities of a good learning facilitator.
  • HTET Syllabus for Language (Hindi and English), Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability, and Haryana G.K. & Awareness will test the candidates’ mental and reasoning ability, knowledge of the language, and General Knowledge regarding Haryana State. The level of the questions shall focus on the relevant age group of 11-16 years.
  • HTET Level 2 Subject-Specific Syllabus: Subject-specific questions will focus on the concepts, problem-solving abilities, and pedagogical understanding of these subjects.

HTET Syllabus Level 3 (Post Graduate Teacher)

Like Level 2, the subjects incorporated in the syllabus for Level 3 are Child Development and Pedagogy, Languages (Hindi and English), Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability, Haryana G.K. & Awareness, and Subject Specific topics (as opted). But the level of the questions shall be based on Class 9 to 12 but their difficulty level may extend up to the Post-Graduate level.

  • The syllabus of CDP shall focus on the concentrate on understanding the characteristics, needs, and psychology of diverse learners, as well as interaction with learners and the attributes and qualities of a good learning facilitator.
  • The questions of Hindi and English language shall focus on the candidates 14-17 years of age.
