SBI PO Exam Pattern 2022: The SBI PO examination is held by the State Bank of India to fill vacancies for Probationary Officer (PO) positions in its branches across the country. SBI PO Prelims Exam Pattern 2022

SBI PO  Prelim consists of three sections which are English Language, Reasoning Ability, and Quantitative Aptitude. SBI PO Main Exam Pattern 2022

The applicants who will get qualified in the SBI PO Prelims Exam will further advance towards the Mains exam. It consists of 2 sections; the Objective Section and the Descriptive Section.  The result of the Mains exam contributes to the final result. SBI PO Marking Scheme

The SBI PO Marking Scheme is as follows.

  • 1 mark will be awarded for every correct answer.
  • There is a negative marking of 1/4th marks for every wrong attempt. 
  • There are no sectional cutoffs and only an overall cutoff in the SBI PO Prelim exam.
  • SBI PO prelim exam is qualifying in nature. It means that the marks obtained in the SBI PO Prelim are not considered in the final merit list.
  • Category wise merit list will be drawn based on aggregate marks scored in the SBI PO main examination
  • There will be no sectional cut off for the SBI PO Main exam, candidates numbering up to 3 times (approx.) of the category-wise vacancies will be shortlisted for GE & Interview
  • Marks obtained in Objective, as well as Descriptive tests, will be added in the final Merit list along with marks of Group Exercise and Interview.

SBI PO Interview 2022

The applicants making through the Mains exam will advance to the third phase of the screening process. State Bank of India made alterations in the third phase due to the global pandemic. The official notification stated that either Interview or the Interview and Group exercises will be screening the candidates in the final stage of the selection process. The weightage of this phase is 50 Marks. The cumulative score of the Mains and the interview/ GD stage will contribute to the final results. 

  • Interview only (50 marks) OR
  • Interview (30 marks) & Group Exercises (20 marks).

Candidates will have to score minimum qualifying marks in Phase-III to be considered for final selection. Candidates qualifying for the Interview/ GD under the 'OBC' category would be required to submit an OBC certificate containing the 'Non-Creamy layer clause. Candidates who have registered themselves as OBC but do not submit OBC 'Non-Creamy layer'.

  • Yes, there is a sectional time limit for both prelim and main exams of the SBI PO exam pattern. In SBI PO prelims you will be given 20 minutes for the 3 sections each, which makes it a total of 60 minutes. In SBI PO mains you will be given 60 minutes for reasoning and computer each; for data analysis 45 minutes; 35 minutes for general awareness and 40 minutes for english, a total of 3 hours. 

  • The SBI PO exam pattern for mains consists of  two papers, Objective and Descriptive. The subjects of the Objective Test are Reasoning Ability and Computer Aptitude, Data Analytics and Interpretation, Economy/ Banking/ General Awareness and English language. The subject of the Descriptive test is Letter Writing and Essay Writing.
