The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) has issued the MPPSC Syllabus 2023 along with the notification PDF for the State Services Examination (SSE). Candidates taking the MPPSC exam must be completely familiar with both the syllabus and the format of the test. The Prelims, Mains, and Interview components of the syllabus are divided into separate categories.

To be eligible for the exam, aspirants must be familiar with the MPPSC Syllabus for Prelims Papers 1 and 2. There are two exams on the MPPSC Prelims syllabus: General Studies and General Aptitude. The Mains syllabus, on the other hand, calls for a total of 6 papers. The remaining two are Hindi and Hindi Essay papers, while the remaining four are General Studies papers. The MPPSC Mains test does not include any optional subjects.

MPPSC Syllabus 2023

Prelims and Mains are the two main stages of the MPPSC Syllabus. For individuals who pass the Mains exam, an interview is also held. The MPPSC Mains stage contains 1400 marks, whereas the Prelims stage has 200 marks for two papers. Additionally, there will be an interview for 175 points.

Candidates who apply for the MPPSC exam must check out the detailed syllabus for the Prelims and Mains exam. The final selection of the candidates is based on the Mains and Interview marks. MPPSC Syllabus For Prelims

MPPSC Prelims is the first stage of the MPPSC selection process. The MPPSC Pre Syllabus consists of two papers- Paper-1 and Paper-2. Paper 1 is General Studies in which questions from subjects such as History, Political Science, Geography, Economics, and other subjects are asked. Paper 2 is the General Aptitude paper, in contrast, and it emphasises questions from maths classes up to the tenth grade as well as reasoning and decision-making in the English language.

History, Culture, and Literature of Madhya Pradesh

This shall cover the MP GK and events related to Madhya Pradesh state. It includes topics such as major events and dynasties in the history of Madhya Pradesh, the contribution of freedom fighters, arts and sculpture, tribes, dialects festivals, music, literature, and religious & tourist places of MP. In addition to this, important personalities of Madhya Pradesh also form a part of the syllabus of the MPPSC Pre exam.

History of India

Social and Religious Reform movements in the 19th and 20th centuries, integration and Reorganization of India after IndependenceMajor features, events, and their administrative, Social, and Economical Systems of Ancient and Medieval India, Independence struggle and the Indian National Movement for Freedom

Geography of Madhya Pradesh

Forest, Forest Produce, Wildlife, Rivers, Mountains Mountain ranges, the climate of Madhya Pradesh. The syllabus also covers the state’s natural and mineral resources, transport, irrigation and electrical projects, Agricultural, Animal husbandry, and agricultural industries.

Geography of the World and India

Geography in India and the World will include Physical, Economic, and Social Geography. In addition, natural resources, Conventional and Non-conventional Energy Resources, Continents/ Countries/ Oceans/Rivers,/ Mountains of the world, and Natual Resources of the World are also part of this subject.

Constitutional System of Madhya Pradesh

Constitutional System of Madhya Pradesh, such as the Governor, Council of Ministers, Legislative Assembly, High Court, etc. The three-tier system of Panchayati Raj and Urban Administration in Madhya Pradesh

The Economy of Madhya Pradesh

Demography and Census, Economic Development, Industries, welfare schemes of MP, SC/ST, and other castes of Madhya Pradesh

Constitution Government and Economy of India

This shall cover the role, functions, establishments, and important personalities of the national and constitutional bodies of India, such as the Election Commission of India, State Election Commission, UPSC, CAG, Human Rights Commission, NITI Aayog, NGT, Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Commission, Women Commission, Information Commission, Backward class Commission, etc.

MPPSC Syllabus for Paper 2

MPPSC Prelims syllabus for Paper 2 is General Aptitude Test, where the candidates are expected to know basic logical reasoning, mental ability, elementary mathematics, etc. The following topics are included in the MPPSC syllabus of General Aptitude.

The MPPSC Mains third exam assesses the applicants’ expertise in science and technology. Candidate knowledge of current scientific and technological advancements is anticipated. Additionally, questions from biology, chemistry, and other fields are asked.

MPPSC Syllabus for Hindi Essay – Paper 6

Paper 6 (Hindi Essay), the last exam on the MPPSC Syllabus, is the exam. Three Hindi essays on significant topics, such as the environment, science, education, e-commerce, e-marketing, etc., are required of the candidates. The three essays that the candidates will write will each receive a separate score out of a possible 100 for this paper.

MPPSC Syllabus For Interview

The interview is the last stage of the MPPSC selection process. The candidates who obtain the required MPPSC cutoff will be asked to appear for the interview/personality test. Every candidate who qualifies for the Mains will be eligible for the Interview, as the merit list shall be decided on the marks obtained by the candidate in Mains and Interview.

The goal of the MPPSC SSE interview is to determine whether the applicant is capable of handling the responsibilities of a PCS officer. Through it, a candidate’s cognitive abilities and behavioral traits will be examined. As a result, it is crucial that this component of the MPPSC syllabus be prepared as well as possible.
