SSC MTS Exam Pattern 2023 has been revised by the Staff Selection Commission in their recent notification. Every year, SSC conducts Multitasking Staff exam to recruit eligible candidates for various posts in Government departments, ministries, and offices. Candidates must also be well versed with the SSC MTS marking scheme in order to sail smoothly through the upcoming exam. SSC MTS Exam Pattern 2023

Going through the SSC MTS exam pattern is a crucial step to crack the exam as it will give you a clear picture of the structure and subjects asked in the exam. Commission has changed the exam pattern in its recent notification. The latest SSC MTS exam pattern only consists of CBT exam and Physical Efficiency Test/Physical Standard Test. Candidates who have applied for the SSC MTS exam will have to appear for Tier 1 which is an objective paper consisting of 90 questions that candidates have to attempt in 90 minutes. Those candidates who will qualify paper 1 and have applied for the post of MTS Havaldar in CBIC and CBN will be asked to appear for the next stage which is PET/PST. SSC MTS Exam Pattern (Revised)

Those who are planning to appear for the exam must be well acquainted with the latest SSC MTS Paper 1 exam pattern which is described here in detail. It will be conducted in online mode and consists of 90 questions within 2 sessions with 2 modules each. The first session includes Numerical & Mathematical Ability and Reasoning Ability & Problem-Solving. The second session will include General Awareness and English Language and Comprehension. Candidates have to attempt each session. Skipping any session or section will result in disqualification.

Some important points related to SSC MTS exam pattern for Tier 1 exam are as follows:

  • It will be conducted in English, Hindi and 13 regional languages.
  • 3 marks will be awarded for each correct response.
  • There is no negative marking in Session 1.
  • There is SSC MTS negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer in Session 2.
  • Candidates who are eligible for a scribe will get a maximum time of 60 minutes to complete the paper.
  • There will be 90 questions in total from all four sections.

Candidates who qualify the exam will be selected for their preferred posts. Marks score in CBT will be normalised as per the norms of SSC if the exam is held in multiple shifts.

SSC MTS Havaldar Exam Pattern

SSC MTS Marking Scheme

A government job aspirants should know the marking scheme for the exam so that they can prepare accordingly and score marks higher than the previous year SSC MTS cut off.
