SBI PO 2021 Notification Official Details

SBI PO 2021 Notification is now announced on the official website of the State Bank of India. The SBI PO notification 2021 PDF for the 2056 probationary officer vacancy was earlier delayed due to the global pandemic has now been officially disclosed. The SBI PO Exam Dates for Prelims and Mains 2021 exam has also been disclosed along with the official notification.

The State Bank of India has activated the SBI PO 2021 apply online link on its official website. The recruitment process has begun from 05th Oct till 25th Oct 2021 for the selection of candidates for the post of Probationary Officers in the State Bank of India and its Associate branches.

The selection criteria are derived in 3 different stages which are preliminary examination, Mains examination, and interview. Candidates selected after the interview round for the post of probationary officers are liable to be posted anywhere in India.

Previously, SBI PO 2020 notification was released for a total of 2000 probationary officers vacancies. This year also 2000+ PO vacancies are expected to be released soon. What's New in SBI PO 2021?

Every year, SBI PO introduces surprises along with its notification. This year too, surprises have been revealed after the release of the official SBI PO 2021 recruitment notification.

Just like the previous years, SBI PO 2020 recruitment also came up with some changes in the exam. You can also go through the following major changes introduced under SBI PO 2021 recruitment notification:

1. In the view of Social distancing, SBI has initiated to shorten the Phase 3 selection. Thus, SBI PO Phase 3 will consist of either interview (50 marks) or interview (30 Marks) and GD (20 Marks).
2. Last year, SBI increased the application fees for General/EWS and OBC from ₹ 600 to ₹750, while for SC/ST/PWD, it was ₹ 125. However, this year onwards there isn't any application fee for SC/ST/PWD category.

  • The SBI PO Pre-exam training is usually conducted tentatively 8-10 days prior to the SBI PO Prelims exam.
  • Government officials conduct pre-exam training for the candidates belonging to SC/ST categories or minority groups.

SBI PO Eligibility Criteria 2021

The eligibility criteria for SBI PO Exam can be check below in order to know whether you are eligible to apply for SBI PO 2021 exam. Candidates must fulfill the following SBI PO eligibility so that their SBI PO application is not canceled later.


  • Citizen of India
  • The subject of Nepal or Bhutan
  • As per the govt. rules of India.

Age-Based Eligibility (01.04.2021)

SBI PO age limit criteria are fixed by the officials of State Bank of India as per which:

  • Minimum age limit is 21 years
  • Maximum age limit is 30 years


  • 4% horizontal reservation has been provided to Persons with Benchmark Disabilities
  • There is an age- relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/EXSM.
  • 3 years for OBC whereas 10 years for PWDs.

Educational Qualification (31.12.2021)

  • SBI PO educational qualification demands graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or
  • Any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.
  • Along with the fair knowledge of computer is a must.
  • The date of passing the eligibility examination will be the date appearing on the mark-sheet or provisional certificate issued by the University/Institute.
