BSER REET is held to determine the teaching eligibility of candidates aspiring to be primary or upper primary school teachers. The exam is conducted for two levels that are Level 1 for Primary Teacher and Level 2 for Upper Primary Teacher.

BSER REET is an offline examination organized by the Board of Secondary Education Rajasthan (BSER), Rajasthan. Candidates who are aiming to make their career in the teaching profession in the state of Rajasthan must pass this exam. Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria to apply for the REET exam.

BSER REET 2023

BSER REET exam is a kind of preliminary exam in which candidates must qualify in order to appear in the teacher recruitment exam or REET Mains exam conducted by RSMSSB. It is conducted in offline mode which means it is a pen-paper-based test. Candidates aspiring to be recruited as primary teachers (Class 1 to 5) should take the REET level 1 exam.

On the other hand, candidates must pass the REET Level 2 exam to become an Upper Primary Teacher (Class 6 to 8). Candidates must start preparing for the BSER REET 2023 exam so that they get shortlisted in the very first attempt. The difficulty level of Level 1 and Level 2 exams differ from each other so candidates must prepare accordingly.

REET Full Form

The full form of REET is Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers. It is an annual state level teaching exam. It is conducted for candidates who want to prove their eligibility to teach in primary and upper primary classes of government schools in Rajasthan.

BSER REET Notification 2023

The notification for conducting REET exam 2023 is expected to be released soon. It will be released in online mode on the official website of REET BSER. Candidates must refer to the notification to have an understanding of various aspects related to the exam.

REET Vacancy 2023

RSMSSB has released a total of 48,000 REET vacancy for primary and upper primary teachers. The last date to apply for these vacancies is over now. Candidates can apply for the REET Mains vacancy only if they have passed the REET exam conducted for Level 1 and Level 2. There are 21,000 seats vacant for level 1 teachers while a total of 27,000 seats are vacant for level 2 teachers. Check the previous year's vacancy details in the table below.

BSER REET 2023 Eligibility Criteria

REET eligibility criteria include an age limit, educational qualifications, and minimum qualifying marks that must be fulfilled by candidates to apply for the exam. The eligibility criteria to apply for level 1 and level 2 exam are different from each other. So, candidates must check the BSER REET Exam Eligibility Criteria before filling the application form.

BSER REET Primary Teacher Eligibility

Candidates with the following qualifications are eligible to apply for the primary teacher or level 1 examination:

  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education/or appearing in the final year of 4 years of Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)/appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
  • Should possess a Graduation degree and pass or appear in the final year of a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).

BSER REET Eligibility Criteria for Upper Primary Teacher

The eligibility criteria to apply for upper primary teacher or level 2 examination are given below:

  • Should have completed Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
  • Should have completed Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
  • Completed Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), by the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4 years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)/appearing in the final year of 4 years B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
  • Should have completed Graduation with at least 50% marks or appearing in 1 year B.Ed. (Special Education).

REET Application Form

REET application form will be released for the eligible candidates to apply for the exam. The application will be released by BSER on its official website. REET application process includes various stages such as registration, filling the application form, uploading required documents, fee payment and final submission.
