REET is conducted by the Board of Secondary Education Rajasthan (BSER), Rajasthan. The purpose of the test is to check the teaching aptitude of the candidates aspiring to become teachers in the government schools of Rajasthan. REET 2023 exam will be held at two levels that is level 1 and level 2. The level 1 and level 2 exams are conducted to check the teaching eligibility for primary teachers and upper primary teachers respectively. 

REET Mains exam 2023 is going to be held from 25 February 2023 to 28 February 2023 for the candidates who have passed REET level 1 and level 2 exams in 2021 and 2022. Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSMSSB) is going to conduct the Mains examination to fill 21,000 posts at the primary level and 27,000 posts at the upper primary level. REET 2023

REET exam is a kind of preliminary test that candidates should pass to appear in the teacher recruitment exam or REET Mains exam conducted by RSMSSB. It is conducted in offline mode which means it is a pen-paper based test. Candidates aspiring to be recruited as primary teachers (Class 1 to 5) should take REET level 1 exam. On the other hand, candidates should pass REET level 2 exam to become upper primary teachers (Class 6 to 8).

REET Full Form

The full form of REET is Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers. It is an annual state-level teaching examination. It is also known as the Rajasthan Teacher Eligibility Test (RTET), and it is held for candidates who wish to prove their eligibility to teach in Rajasthan's primary and upper primary schools.

REET Mains 2023

REET Mains examination is conducted to recruit suitable candidates for the posts of primary and upper primary teachers. RSMSSB released the application form to fill a total of 48,000 teacher vacancies at level 1 and level 2. Candidates who have passed the REET level 1 and level 2 exams were eligible to submit the application form that was available from 21 December 2022 to 19 January 2023.

REET Notification 2023

The notification to conduct the REET exam 2023 is expected to be released soon. It will be released in online mode on the official website of REET BSER. REET Mains Notification 2023

The notification for REET Mains exam was released on 16 December 2022. It was released separately for level 1 and level 2. Candidates who are eligible to take the primary teacher exam should refer REET Mains notification for level 1 whereas candidates who want to appear in the upper primary teacher exam should check the REET level 2 Mains notification.

REET Vacancy 2023

RSMSSB has released a total of 48,000 REET vacancy for primary and upper primary teachers. The last date to apply for these vacancies is over now. Candidates could apply for the REET Mains vacancy 2023 if they had passed the REET exam conducted for level 1 and level 2 in 2021 and 2022. REET Application Form

REET application form will be released for the eligible candidates to apply for the exam. The application will be released by BSER on its official website. REET 2023 Eligibility Criteria

REET eligibility criteria include an age limit, educational qualifications, and minimum qualifying marks that must be met to apply for the exam. The eligibility criteria to apply for level 1 and level 2 exam differs from each other. Hence, candidates must check REET 2023 eligibility criteria prior to filling the application form.

REET Primary Teacher Eligibility

Candidates with the following qualifications are eligible to apply for the primary teacher or level 1 examination:

  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of two-year Diploma in Elementary Education/or appearing in the final year of 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)/appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
  • Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).

REET Eligibility Criteria for Upper Primary Teacher

The eligibility criteria to apply for upper primary teacher or level 2 examination are given below:

  • Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
  • Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), by the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4 years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)/appearing in the final year of 4 years B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1 year B.Ed. (Special Education).

REET Mains Exam Pattern 2023

REET Level 1 Exam Pattern
