CTET Exam Pattern 2022 is officially released by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Candidates can check the paper pattern on the official website with the exam notification. CTET pattern includes complete detail about the questions and marks of each section included in the exam. It is essential to check the complete pattern before starting the exam preparation.

CTET Exam Pattern 2022

CTET pattern 2022 includes details of subject-wise important topics and their marking schemes in the exam. CTET Exam Pattern 2022: Latest update

For the first time, the exam will be administered online, and the questions will be conceptual. As per the CTET Exam Pattern, there is no limitation to choose any one of the papers, you can appear for both papers. Before starting the preparation one should be aware of the new CTET Exam Pattern.

What's New?

  • CTET includes two examinations, different for paper 1 and paper 2.
  • The mode of examination will be online i.e, CBT (Computer Based Test) mode.
  • The examination type will be multiple choice questions and will include 4 options with only 1 correct option.
  • The language of the paper will be in Hindi and English and candidates can choose any language.
  • Paper 1 includes 5 subjects which have a total of 150 questions of one mark each.
  • Paper 2 also includes 5 subjects and a choice between science & maths and social science. A total of 150 questions will be asked and one mark will be awarded for each correct answer.
  • There is no negative marking in CTET.
  • The examination will be for 150 minutes.

CTET Paper 1 Exam Pattern

Paper 1 is for teachers who wish to apply for teaching classes 1st to 5th. Paper 1 has 150 questions with 150 marks. CTET Paper 2 Exam Pattern

Paper 2 is for candidates interested to apply as teachers for classes 6th to 8th. Paper 2 consists of 150 questions with 150 marks. The CTET paper 2 exam pattern includes a detailed description of topics covered in the paper and the number of questions asked in each section. CTET Marking Scheme

Along with the exam pattern, understanding the CTET Marking Scheme for the upcoming exam is also critical. The marking scheme for the CTET Exam comprises the distribution of marks for correct and wrong answers.

  • According to the CTET Exam Pattern, paper 1 includes 5 subjects which have a total of 150 questions of one mark each.
  • Paper 2 also includes 5 subjects and a choice between science & maths and social science. A total of 150 questions will be asked and one mark will be awarded for each correct answer.

Nature and Standard of CTET 2022 Questions

It is equally important to understand the nature and standard of questions, along with the CTET Exam Pattern 2022, Candidates should be familiar with the nature of questions to perform well in the upcoming exam.   • The questions of Child Development and Pedagogy will be focused on the educational psychology of teaching and learning. It will be relevant to the children of 6 to 11 years. They will concentrate on learning the characters and requirements of various learners.
  • The questions in Language I will be direct proficiencies related to the medium of education, communication with learners, and the characteristics and features of a good facilitator of learning.
  • The questions in Language II will direct to the elements of language, conversation, and comprehension skills.
  • Language II and Language I cannot be the same. A candidate may choose any one language as Language I and another as Language II from the available language options and will be required to define the same on the confirmation page.
  • The questions in the Mathematics and Environmental Studies section will be based on the concepts, problem-solving abilities, and pedagogical understanding and applications of the subjects.
  • The questions of the following area will be evenly divided over several sections of the syllabus of that subject prescribed for classes 1st to 5th by the NCERT.
  • The questions in Paper 1 will cover the syllabus of the NCERT for classes 1st to 5th but their difficulty level, as well as linkages, can go up to the Secondary stage.
