SSC CHSL Notification Apply Online 2020

SSC CHSL Application Form 2020-21 link has been extended again till 26th December 2020 due to heavy traffic on the site. SSC has uploaded the direct link along with the release of the official SSC CHSL 2020 notification. Candidates are required to fill in their professional details in order to register for the SSC CHSL 2020 exam. The Staff Selection Commission is going to recruit competent personnel through the Combined Higher Secondary Level Exam (CHSL) in various posts of the Indian Administrative System. The Commission has finally released the SSC CHSL Notification 2020 PDF. However, the original notification release date was on December 3rd, 2019 but now it was disclosed on 06th November 2020.

As per the initial
SSC CHSL Official Notification 2020, the number of vacancies this year in different posts is 4893. How to Fill SSC CHSL Application Form 2020?

From the SSC CHSL Notification 2020, the candidates can understand the procedure of how to Submit SSC CHSL Application Form 2020. This is the most crucial stage to appear for the SSC CHSL Examination. The candidates have to visit the website and register first. They are required to enter all the details asked for and submit the same along with payment of the requisite fees. However, some categories of candidates are subject to exemption concerning the fee payment. You must ensure that all details inputted by you are correct before you submit the Application Form. While filling the SSC CHSL Application form keep all the scanned copies of the documents required to be uploaded handy. Some such documents include photo ID proof, signature, and mark sheets.

SSC CHSL 2020: Registration Part

  • Candidates are required to visit the official website 
  • One thing to keep in mind is to get yourself register before proceeding with the application part as old website's registration ID & Password will not work on the new website.
  • Candidates are required to keep the mentioned documents ready when they sit for One-time Registration. 

a. Mobile Number (to be verified through OTP).

b. Email ID (to be verified through OTP).

c. Aadhaar Number. If Aadhaar Number is not available, please give one of the following ID Numbers. (You will be required to show the original document at a later stage):

  • Voter ID Card
  • PAN
  • Passport
  • Driving License
  • School/ College ID
  • Employer ID (Govt./ PSU/ Private)

d. Information about the Board, Roll Number and Year of Passing the Matriculation (10th) Examination.

e. Scanned colour passport size recent photograph in JPEG format (20 KB to 50 KB). Image dimension of the photograph should be about 3.5 cm (width) x 4.5 cm (height). Applications with a blurred photograph will be rejected.

f. Scanned signature in JPEG format (10 to 20 KB). Image dimension of the signature should be about 4.0 cm (width) x 3.0 cm (height). Applications with blurred signature will be rejected.

g. Disability Certificate Number, if you are a person with a benchmark disability.

  • Click on the 'Register Now' Tab provided in LOGIN Section on
  • Complete your registration part by entering the basic details, additional details along with contact details. Complete the procedure by uploading the scanned images of passport size.
  • Candidate should bear in mind that the details entered such as name, father's name, mother's name, examination details, DOB should match with the one given in matriculation certificate.
  • Details such as Registration no. and Password will be sent on the mobile number and E-mail provided by the candidate during the registration process. Therefore, one is required to be wary while entering the mobile number and Email-ID.
  • The registration process should be completed within 14 days failing which Registration Details saved so far will be deleted.
  • After successful registration, you need to login using your Registration Number and password (Enter changed password if needed).
  • A new tab will be opened showing the basic details filled by the candidate so far. You may edit the application at this stage or click on the 'Next Button' at the bottom of the page to complete your one-time registration process. 

SSC CHSL 2019: Online Application Part

  • Login using your ‘Registration Number’ and password.
  • Click ‘Apply’ link in ‘Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination 2019’ Section under ‘Latest Notifications’ tab.
  • Information in columns at S No-1 to 14 will be automatically filled from your Onetime Registration Data which is non-editable. If you want to make correction in any of this data, click on ‘Modify Registration’ and suitably edit your One-time Registration data.
  • Fill in all the required data such as preference for Examination Centers, the medium of typing test, disability, category etc.
  • If you belong to EWS category then provide information for the same. This is valid for only un-reserved candidates.
  • Compete your declaration by clicking on “I agree” check box, fill up captcha code. Double check the application by previewing and verifying the information provided by you and 'submit' the application. 
  • Proceed to make fee Payment if you are not exempted. 
  • When the application is successfully submitted, it will be accepted 'Provisionally'.
  • Candidate should take the printout of the application form for their own records.

Note: Female candidates and those belonging to the reserved category (SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen) are exempted from paying the application fee. 

The candidates who wish to apply for this exam can pay either through BHIM UPI, Net banking, by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit cards or in SBI Branches by generating SBI Challan. Nominal service charges may be included in net banking mode of payment.

SSC CHSL Notification Important Dates

One of the major things for any exam notification is the announcement of the exam dates. The recent SSC CHSL Notification 2020 has revealed the dates for the 2020 exams. New Rules for the SSC CHSL Examination

After the release of the SSC CHSL Exam Date 2020, the Commission has formulated some new guidelines for the exam days. These steps are necessary for the safety of the candidates during the COVID-19 situation. These are briefed as under;-

  • There will be no biometric registration this year. However, the thumb impression is compulsorily required for Attendance Sheets and Commission Copies.
  • The Commission instructed that, before the beginning of each shift, the examination hall will be completely sanitized and cleaned, including all parts of the computer systems.
  • Only transparent ballpoint pens are allowed, and translucent pens are not allowed.
  • Every candidate must come wearing a proper mask. However, during the clicking of photographs at registration desks, they need to remove the same.

  • As per the negative marking scheme, there will be a deduction of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer in the written TIER-I Examination.

  • The Tier-I Exam is 60 minutes long. But, there will be no particular sectional timings.

  • The candidates can pay the application fee in cash in any SBI branch accompanied by a print-out of the challan. This challan will get generated after the registration process is complete.

  • The tentative vacancies in the posts of LDC and JSA are 898.

  • The SSC CHSL is conducted in 3 stages. They are as follows:

    • Tier I- CBT
    • Tier II-Written Test
    • Tier III- Skill Based Test
  • In the paper of Tier II, the candidate has to write a letter or essay within a time period of 60 minutes.

  • The last date to download the challan for payment via offline mode is 23rd December 2020, up to 23:30.

  • Tier-I is compulsory to be given in the online mode. However, the Tier-II examination is conducted in offline mode.

  • The notification for SSC CHSL Important Dates 2020 will reveal the pre-scheduled date and time of the examination. No candidate can change them.

  • There is an option to regenerate the password in case you forget it. Please follow these steps to do so;-

    • Visit the website and click on Forgot Password
    • Choose the permanent state
    • Type your mobile number or registered email address
    • Now click the Submit button
  • If all the particulars of the application form are not right, the authorities can reject such form during screening.

  • In case of non-payment of the application fee by any candidate required to pay the same, the application form for such a candidate will be rejected. However, if you fall within the exempted category, your application will not be rejected.

  • The current application fee is Rs. 100/-. However, it is exempted for women and some special category candidates.

  • The application fees are not refundable once you have paid the same through any mode.
