SSC CHSL Apply Online 2022: Every year, the Staff Selection Commission announces thousands of vacancies to recruit competent personnel through the Combined Higher Secondary Level Exam (CHSL) in various posts of the Indian Administrative System. This year too, the commission has announced a total of 4726 vacancies and activated the SSC CHSL Apply Online 2022 link on its website. SSC CHSL Apply Online 2022 link has been deactivated from the official website. As per the SSC CHSL Notification PDF, the online application process began on 1 February 2022 and the last day to apply was 7th March 2022. The commission also gave an opportunity to the applicants to make the corrections in their form by 9 March 2022.

How to Fill SSC CHSL Application Form 2022?

From the SSC CHSL Notification 2021-2022, the candidates can understand the procedure of how to Submit the SSC CHSL Application Form 2022. This is the most crucial stage to appear for the SSC CHSL Examination. The candidates have to visit the website and register first. They are required to enter all the details asked for and submit the same along with the SSC CHSL Exam fee. However, some categories of candidates are subject to exemption concerning the fee payment. You must ensure that all details inputted by you are correct before you submit the Application Form. While filling out the SSC CHSL Application form keep all the scanned copies of the documents required to be uploaded handy. Some such documents include photo ID proof, signature, and mark sheets.

SSC CHSL 2022: Registration Part

  • Candidates are required to visit the official website http://ssc.nic.in/ 
  • One thing to keep in mind is to get yourself registered before proceeding with the application part as the old website's registration ID & Password will not work on the new website.
  • Candidates are required to keep the mentioned documents ready when they sit for One-time Registration. 

a. Mobile Number (to be verified through OTP).

b. Email ID (to be verified through OTP).

c. Aadhaar Number. If the Aadhaar Number is not available, please give one of the following ID Numbers. (You will be required to show the original document at a later stage):

  • Voter ID Card
  • PAN
  • Passport
  • Driving License
  • School/ College ID
  • Employer ID (Govt./ PSU/ Private)

d. Information about the Board, Roll Number, and Year of Passing the Matriculation (10th) Examination.

e. Scanned color passport size recent photograph in JPEG format (20 KB to 50 KB). Image dimension of the photograph should be about 3.5 cm (width) x 4.5 cm (height). Applications with a blurred photograph will be rejected.

f. Scanned signature in JPEG format (10 to 20 KB). Image dimension of the signature should be about 4.0 cm (width) x 3.0 cm (height). Applications with blurred signatures will be rejected.

g. Disability Certificate Number, if you are a person with a benchmark disability.

  • Click on the 'Register Now' Tab provided in LOGIN Section on https://ssc.nic.in.
  • Complete your registration part by entering the basic details, additional details along contact details. Complete the procedure by uploading the scanned images of passport size.
  • The candidate should bear in mind that the details entered such as name, father's name, mother's name, examination details, DOB should match with the one given in the matriculation certificate.
  • Details such as Registration no. and Password will be sent on the mobile number and E-mail provided by the candidate during the registration process. Therefore, one is required to be wary while entering the mobile number and Email-ID.
  • The registration process should be completed within 14 days failing which Registration Details saved so far will be deleted.
  • After successful registration, you need to log in using your Registration Number and password (Enter changed password if needed).
  • A new tab will be opened showing the basic details filled by the candidate so far. You may edit the application at this stage or click on the Next button at the bottom of the page to complete your one-time registration process. 

SSC CHSL 2022: Online Application Part

  • Login using your ‘Registration Number’ and password.
  • Click the ‘Apply’ link in the ‘Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination 2019’ Section under the ‘Latest Notifications’ tab.
  • Information in columns at S No-1 to 14 will be automatically filled from your Onetime Registration Data which is non-editable. If you want to make corrections to any of this data, click on ‘Modify Registration’ and suitably edit your One-time Registration data.
  • Fill in all the required data such as preference for Examination Centers, the medium of typing test, disability, category, etc.
  • If you belong to the EWS category then provide information for the same. This is valid for only un-reserved candidates.
  • Compete for your declaration by clicking on the “I agree” check box, filling up the captcha code. Double-check the application by reviewing and verifying the information provided by you and 'submit' the application. 
  • Proceed to make fee Payment if you are not exempted. 
  • When the application is successfully submitted, it will be accepted 'Provisionally'.
  • Candidates should take the printout of the application form for their own records.

Note: Female candidates and those belonging to the reserved category (SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen) are exempted from paying the SSC CHSL Exam Fee. 

The candidates who wish to apply for this exam can pay either through BHIM UPI, Net banking, by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit, or Debit cards or in SBI Branches by generating SBI Challan. Nominal service charges may be included in the net banking mode of payment.

New Rules for the SSC CHSL Examination

After the release of the SSC CHSL Exam Date 2022, the Commission has formulated some new guidelines for the exam days. These steps are necessary for the safety of the candidates during the COVID-19 situation. These are briefed as under;-

  • There will be no biometric registration this year. However, the thumb impression is compulsorily required for Attendance Sheets and Commission Copies.
  • The Commission instructed that, before the beginning of each shift, the examination hall will be completely sanitized and cleaned, including all parts of the computer systems.
  • Only transparent ballpoint pens are allowed, and translucent pens are not allowed.
  • Every candidate must come wearing a proper mask. However, during the clicking of photographs at registration desks, they need to remove the same.

  • The SSC CHSL Application Form 2022 can be either filled through the official site or through the direct link given at the top. Please follow the instructions to fill SSC CHSL Application Form Link.

  • As per the negative marking scheme, there will be a deduction of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer in the written TIER-I Examination.

  • The Tier-I Exam is 60 minutes long. But, there will be no particular sectional timings.

  • The candidates can pay the application fee in cash in any SBI branch accompanied by a print-out of the challan. This challan will get generated after the registration process is complete for SSC CHSL Application Form 2022.

  • The tentative vacancies in the posts of LDC and JSA are 898.

  • The SSC CHSL is conducted in 3 stages. They are as follows:
