World Youth Skills Day is an international observance held annually on July 15. The United Nations General Assembly proclaimed it in November 2014 to highlight the importance of investing in youth skills development.

The Day seeks to encourage Member States to address challenges and seize opportunities related to youth skills development, which can be achieved through greater cooperation among governments, employers' and workers' organizations, and relevant stakeholders.

  • Kargil Vijay Diwas (July 26)

Indian soldiers are celebrated and remembered for their sacrifices on Kargil Vijay Diwas, observed every July 26. On this Day in 1999, the Indian Army successfully took back control of the peaks held by Pakistani intruders. The Day is marked with parades, ceremonies and other programmes in memory of brave soldiers who lost their lives.

  • World Ranger Day (July 31)

World Ranger Day was created in 2007 by the International Ranger Federation and The Thin Green Line Foundation as an opportunity to draw attention to the critical work performed by rangers and to remember rangers killed or injured in the line of duty. It is held each year on the anniversary of the founding of the International Ranger Federation.
