MPSC Rajyaseva Syllabus 2021

MPSC Rajyaseva Syllabus 2021 is a resourceful material to help you excel in the MPSC Examination. MPSC Rajyaseva Syllabus for the Prelims, Mains, and Personality Test is discussed here. The exam for MPSC is conducted in English and Marathi language. Apart from conducting the MPSC State Service Exam, the commission is also responsible for conducting the Cass C services, Engineering Services, Judicial Services, and other examinations. MPSC Rajyaseva Syllabus 2021, Exam Pattern

Before we discuss the MPSC Rajyaseva Syllabus, let us first know the MPSC Rajyaseva Exam Pattern. The pattern of the MPSC Rajyaseva exam is based on the three phases:

  1. Prelims
  2. Mains and
  3. Interview

Candidates required all three stages to get the selection in the Maharashtra State Services. Let's discuss all three stages step-by-steps below:

Phase 1: MPSC Rajyaseva Prelims Exam Pattern

  • MPSC State Service Prelims consists of two Papers each is Objective in nature.
  • Time Duration for completion is 2 hours and they consist of 200 marks each.
  • There is a provision for negative marking. 1/4 marks are deducted for every wrong answer.
  • Questions pertaining to Decision Making in Paper-2 do not attract negative marking.
  • Unlike UPSC, Marks of both Papers are counted for the final merit list in MPSC.

Phase 3: Rajyaseva Interview

The interview phase is just like a personality test where the candidate's ability is assessed on the basis of his/her communication skills, personal & professional discussion, aptitude skills, etc. Only those candidates appear in the Interview round who have successfully qualified the Mains and got a call letter from the authority in order to appear in the Interview.

MPSC State Service Prelims Syllabus 2021

Rajyaseva Paper I Syllabus (200 Marks)

  • Maharashtra, India, and world geography –
    • Physical, Social, The economic geography of Maharashtra, India, and the World.
  • History of India (with special reference to Maharashtra) and Indian National Movement.
  • Maharashtra and India –
    • Polity and Governance – Constitution, Political System, Panchayati Raj, Urban Governance, Public Policy, Rights Issue, etc.
  • General issues on Environmental Ecology, Biodiversity, and Climate Change – that do not require subject specialization.
  • Current events of state, national, and international importance.
  • Economic and Social Development –
    • Sustainable Development, Poverty, Inclusion, Demographics, Social Sector Initiatives, etc.
  • General Science

Rajyaseva Paper-II Syllabus (200 Marks)

  • Comprehension
  • Logical reasoning and analytical ability
  • Decision-making and problem-solving
  • General mental ability
  • Interpersonal skills including communication skills
  • Basic numeracy (numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude, etc.) (Class X level), Data Interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency, etc. – Class X level)
  • Marathi and English language comprehension skills (Class X/XII level) Questions relating to this will be tested through passages from Marathi and the English language without providing cross translation thereof in the question paper.

MPSC Rajyaseva Mains Syllabus 2021

  • In the MPSC Main exam, there are a total of 6 papers that are compulsory in nature.
  • Paper 1 and Paper 2 are Language Papers while Paper 3, 4, 5, and 6 are General Studies Paper.
  • One important thing to note about the MPSC Syllabus is that there is No Optional Paper in this exam.
  • Further, Except for Paper 1 which is Descriptive in nature, all other papers are Objective in nature and so Negative marking is there for the Objective Papers.
