CET (Common Eligibility Test) for SSC & Railway Exams: Eligibility, Syllabus & Exam Pattern
What is the NRA CET or Common Eligibility Test?
CET is the Common Eligibility Test that is a generalized preliminary test for the employment procedure in all the non-gazetted (Group B & C) posts. The purpose of introducing CET is to make the process of recruitment easier and more transparent. As per the present examination protocol, aspirants need to fill different forms for different exams and need to travel to different places as well. Under CET, the government is trying to save the energy, enthusiasm, money and valuable time of the aspirants.
Exams To Be Conducted Under CET
As we all know, there are some commissions or boards that conduct these kinds of multi-level entrance exams for recruitment in various posts of the central government. The CET will eliminate the preliminary levels of the examinations conducted by:
Staff Selection Commission (SSC)
Railway Recruitment Board (RRB)
Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS)
In the current scenario, you have sit separately for SSC, Railway & Banking exams but with the introduction of CET, candidates have to give only a single preliminary examination for the exams conducted by these agencies.
CET (Common Eligibility Test) Exam Centers
This information will definitely bring a smile on the faces of the candidates who belong to the rural areas of the country. According to the latest notice, there will be one or more than one CET Exam centre in a district depending upon the strength of the candidates appearing for the exam. This will reduce a lot of burden for the economically poor students who cannot always afford to travel long distances to take the examinations.
CET Syllabus, Eligibility Criteria and Exam Pattern 2020
In the recent update, there is no defined NRA CET syllabus, eligibility and exam pattern. National Recruitment Agency will soon release the CET Exam pattern & Syllabus.
