General Awareness for SSC CHSL: SSC CHSL Tier 1 is just around the corner. The exam is scheduled to take place in February/March 2023, giving candidates almost 1-2 months to prepare. General Awareness for SSC CHSL
SSC CHSL General Awareness Classification
The SSC CHSL General Awareness section is divided into four sections, which are as follows:
Current Affairs – This is the most dynamic section of the SSC CHSL General Awareness, and candidates must be up to date on all national and international events. To pass this section, candidates must have a solid understanding of at least six months of current events.
Static GK – Static GK covers facts and topics that will never change. It primarily consists of geography, history, economics, and politics.
General Science – To do well in this section, SSC CHSL candidates must have a basic understanding of physics, chemistry, and biology.
Miscellaneous – Questions related to topics including important days & dates, national schemes, Computer and Logical analysis, etc.
How to Prepare General Awareness for SSC CHSL
The General Awareness GK Preparation section consists of current events knowledge and basic science knowledge, among other things. This topic requires concentrated preparation. Here are a few key pointers and strategies for acing the General Awareness section.
- Keep yourself up to date and revise important current affairs news on a regular basis, such as political news, global economics, major business deals, and so on.
- It is essential to read the newspaper on a daily basis. In order to improve their general knowledge, aspirants should spend some time watching news.
- Magazines and books, such as Lucent’s General Knowledge, are excellent resources for general awareness.
- Keep a globe or global map on your wall and look at the countries at least once a day.
- Practice or seek assistance from previous year papers, which will be extremely beneficial.
- Candidates must attempt to participate in online discussions about issues of national and international importance.
SSC CHSL Exam Pattern
As per the SSC CHSL Exam Pattern, there are no changes made in the tier 1 stage. SSC CHSL Tier 1 exam pattern has 100 questions, 25 from each of the four subjects/sections – English, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and General Intelligence & Reasoning. Current Affairs Preparation Strategy
- Read news stories and articles of interest on a regular basis.
- If you don’t like reading newspapers, consider installing apps like in brief, which condense the most important headlines into a few sentences.
- Unfamiliar questions should be given less time.
- Because negative marking is not used, you have up to 30 seconds to make a guess.
- Increase your emphasis on topics such as current events, business, geography, and economics, where questions are frequently asked.
- Make the most of the resources available by reading suggested books and watching international news programs, for example.
- It is recommended to solve SSC CHSL previous year’s papers on a regular basis, particularly those from the previous five years.
- Examine recent occurrences from the six months preceding the exam.
- Take daily tests and quizzes on current events.
- Make notes in your notebook about global events, environmental concerns, science and technology articles, and projects with multiple applications for quick last-minute editing.

General Awareness for SSC CHSL: Things to Remember
One of the biggest mistakes that aspirant do is to not take the General Awareness section seriously. Like all subjects, General Awareness for SSC CHSL also requires proper attention because of the following reasons:
High Scoring Section: Because it relies less on calculations, the SSC CHSL General Awareness section is easier to complete. Even with excellent preparation in sports, current events, and science and technology, you should expect to receive at least 45 points out of a possible 60 points on the Tier II exam and 35 marks out of 50 marks in Tier 1.
Less Scope of Negative Marking: As previously stated, there is nothing to figure out in SSC CHSL GK questions, so you will always know whether you know the answer or not. This implies that you have no intention of intentionally marking a response incorrectly.
