How to Prepare General Awareness for RRB NTPC 2019-20 Exam?

RRB NTPC General Awareness: RRB NTPC 2019-20 Exam dates are out. Only 3 months time are left and to secure the seat you should start your preparation without any delay. In this article, we will discuss the ways by which we can tackle the General Awareness Section for RRB NTPC 2020 Exam.

Let us first start with the very basic details of this exam. For all those who have gone through the notification must be knowing that the exam will be conducted in different stages, the first stage of which is common for all. Let us go through the stage I details:-

- Each question will carry 1 Mark.
- There will be a negative marking of 0.33 marks.
- The 1st Stage CBT is of screening nature.
- Stage I is common for all posts.
- Stage I marks will be normalized.

How to Prepare General Awareness for RRB NTPC 2019-20
1. Go through the Previous Years’ Papers
Previous Years’ Papers form a blueprint for any exam preparation. It is advisable for every aspirant to first take a glance at the papers to know the level and the kind of questions that are usually asked in the examination. Analyzing previous years papers will go a long way in your preparation and will help you attain the desired scores. Also, you will be an advantage if you get the same question in your examination. Feels good, Right!!!!
2. Try to be inquisitive about important things happening around you
Current affairs are an integral part of any govt competitive examination. Sadly, it is not taken that seriously from the aspirant’s perspective. If you are appearing for RRB NTPC exam you must know about the recent developments of the country and its relations with the neighbours. Try to read 10-15 major news on a daily basis. If you are having limited time and do not wish to read the entire newspaper, then you can visit our daily GK updates section on a regular basis. 3. Maintain a diary for important notes
It is important for you to organize yourself first so you can reap the maximum benefits out of any examination. Maintaining a diary is one such hobby that will help you in getting your mind on track. You can enlist the important topics that are important for this examination and direct your study in that specific direction. This will help you from engaging in pointless discussions.
4. Make mind maps for things difficult to remember
There are times when we face difficulty in remembering the topic and over the period of time we lose interest from the topic. You need to face the problem to solve the problem. Enlist the difficult topics that don’t interest you. Try to devise your own mind maps by making very short notes and linking it with the related topics. Try to get as comfortable with the topic as you can. It will start reflecting on your scores in times to come.
5. Practice Quizzes in your leisure time
We often play video games in our leisure time but forget that it is not changing anything around us or within us. If we are not gaining anything out of the habit, we must abandon it. There are various substitutions available for an aspirant to break this habit. Engage yourself in Practicing quizzes instead and compete with your friends having the same area of interest to make it an enjoyable activity. Challenge your friends on any topic and try to have a discussion on that topic.
6. Revise & Re-revise till your D-Day
Revision plays an important role in our day to day life. We have a strong tendency to forget things if we do not revise things. So, make it a habit to revise things until it gets imprinted in your memory.
