World Red Cross Day

This is the annual celebration of the principles of the International Red Cross Movement. This day is the birth anniversary of Jen-Henry Dunant. He was the founder of ICRC(International Committee of the Red Cross) and also the first recipient of the Noble Peace Prize.

National Technology Day

This day is observed since 1999 to commemorate the Pokhran Nuclear Test of 1998 led by late President Dr A P J Abdul Kalam.

International Nurses Day

This day is celebrated to honour the work and sacrifice of Nurses all over the world since 1965.

International Day of Families

This day is observed to promote awareness about the issues of families.

World Telecommunication Day

On 17th May 1965 ITU was founded. To mark the foundation of ITU, 17th May is observed as World Telecommunication Day.

World AIDS Vaccine Day

This day is observed to show appreciation to those who dedicated their lives to finding the vaccine for HIV infection and AIDS.

National Endangered Species Day

This day is observed on the third Friday of May every year. It is observed to raise awareness about the endangered species in the world.
