What is RRB Full Form?

RRB stands for Railway Recruitment Board. It was formerly known as the Railway Service Commission. In 1985, the name was changed to Railway Recruitment Board. It oversees the hiring of new workers for Indian Railways. It was started to hire deserving candidates for Group C posts of the Indian Railways. Indian Railways now has 21 Railway Recruitment Boards in operation.

RRB is in charge of publishing announcements to fill open positions. They hire applicants (send out requests for applications from qualified people), hold interviews, check the credentials of the chosen candidates, and then recruit them for various posts in Indian Railways.

RRB History

From Bombay to Thane, a distance of 21 miles, was covered by the first railway in the Indian subcontinent. The official inauguration event was held on April 16, 1853, with 14 railway carriages leaving Bori Bunder at 3.30 p.m. o the salute of 21 cannons and the loud acclaim of a huge throng. On August 15, 1854, the first passenger train left Howrah Station towards Hooghly, a distance of 24 miles.

Initiating the start of railway transportation on the Eastern side of the subcontinent, the first segment of the East Indian Railway was thus made accessible to the general people. The Madras Railway Company opened the first line in the south on July 1, 1856. It traveled 63 kilometers between Vyasarpadi Jeeva Nilayam (Veyasarpandy) and Walajah Road (Arcot). On March 3, 1859, a 119-mile line from Allahabad to Kanpur was constructed in the North. On October 19, 1875, the first segment from Hathras Road to Mathura Cantonment was made accessible to vehicles.

These were the modest beginnings of what eventually grew into a nationwide network of railway lines. The Indian Railway system comprised roughly 9000 km of routes by 1880. RRB Chairman

The position of new Chairman & Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Railway Board, has been assumed by Shri Anil Kumar Lahoti. (Ministry of Railways). The nomination of Shri Anil Kumar Lahoti as Chairman and CEO of the Railway Board received approval from the Cabinet’s appointments committee. Shri Anil Kumar Lahoti previously held the position of Member (Infrastructure), of the Railway Board.

RRB Full Form – Different Exams Conducted By RRB

For Assistant Loco Pilot, Non-Technical and Popular Category, Group C/Group D, and other positions in Indian Railways divisions and offices, the Railway Recruitment Board administers a variety of recruitment exams such as RRB NTPC, RRB ALP, RRB JE, and RRB Group D

On the RRB’s main website, www.rrcb.gov.in, are posted all of the circulars pertaining to the RRB exams. These exams are crucial in the selection of applicants who will later hold important positions within the Indian Railways. RRB ALP

The Railway Recruitment Board administers the RRB ALP which is a nationwide exam. The full form of RRB ALP is Railway Recruitment Board Assistant Locomotive Pilot. The exam is conducted to find qualified candidates for the position of assistant locomotive pilot and other technical positions. As needed by the zonal railways, RRB ALP recruitment is declared.

The RRB ALP has a minimal and maximum age requirement of 18 and 28 years, respectively. Candidates must possess a minimum of a 10th-class diploma in addition to the required certifications from an accredited school to take the exam. CBT 1, CBT 2, CBAT, document verification, and paneling make up the RRB ALP selection process.

RRB NTPC

RRB NTPC is the most popular national-level exam conducted by the Railway Recruitment Board of India. RRB NTPC Full form is Non-Technical Popular Categories. It is conducted to select eligible candidates for positions such as Commercial Apprentice, Goods Guard, Traffic Apprentice, Traffic Assistant, Assistant Station Master, etc. throughout India.

According to the RRB NTPC Eligibility, candidate must be a graduate from a recognized university. Those who have passed class 12th can also apply for a few posts. RRB NTPC Salary varies from post to post. For undergraduate positions, the monthly salary will range from Rs. 19,900 to Rs. 21,700, and Rs. 25,500 to Rs. 35,400 for senior posts.

RRB JE

RRB JE stands for Railway Recruitment Board Junior Engineer. The Ministry of Railways oversees RRB, a central government employment organization. It is in charge of filling Group C and Group D non-gazetted positions. For the purpose of hiring candidates for Junior Engineer positions in a number of sectors, including Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Signal & Telecommunication, and Traffic Transportation, the RRB JE exam is held. Candidates must pass all four stages of the RRB JE selection process – CBT 1, CBT 2, document verification, and medical evaluation – in order to pass the exam.

RRB Group D

RRB Group D is a national-level exam held to select applicants who have passed 10th std for different positions such as Track Maintainer Grade-IV and Helper/Assistant in various technical and other divisions of Indian Railways. To be qualified for the RRB Group D exam, candidates must be at least 18 years old. There are additional eligibility criteria for the RRB Group D exam for the PET/PST stage.

RRB का फुल फॉर्म रेलवे रिक्रूटमेंट बोर्ड है। RRB का प्रबंधन रेल मंत्रालय द्वारा रेलवे भर्ती नियंत्रण बोर्ड के तहत किया जाता है। रेलवे भर्ती बोर्ड की स्थापना वर्ष 1942 में हुई थी और इसका नाम रेलवे सेवा आयोग रखा गया था। वर्ष 1985 में, रेलवे सेवा आयोग का नाम बदलकर रेलवे भर्ती बोर्ड कर दिया गया। रेलवे भर्ती बोर्ड भारतीय रेलवे के विभागों और कार्यालयों में सहायक लोको पायलट, गैर-तकनीकी और लोकप्रिय श्रेणी, ग्रुप सी / ग्रुप डी और अन्य पदों के लिए विभिन्न भर्ती परीक्षा आयोजित करता है। रेलवे भर्ती बोर्ड के तहत आयोजित परीक्षाएं हैं: आरआरबी एनटीपीसी, आरआरबी एएलपी, आरआरबी जेई और आरआरबी ग्रुप डी।
