A pair of integers whose difference gives an integer greater than both the integers is 5 and -1. Integers include positive numbers, negative numbers, and also, 0. Negative integers are represented on the left side of the number line and positive integers are presented on the right side of the number line. Refer to the solution below to understand how to find a pair of integers whose difference gives an integer greater than both integers.

Pair of Integers with Difference Greater than Both the Integers
To find a pair of integers whose difference gives an integer greater than both integers, we will need a negative integer and a positive integer.
Let us assume these integers to be 5 and -1. As we know, two negatives make a positive number, we will use this in the equation below,
5 – (-1)
= 5 + 1
= 6
As 6 is greater than 5 and -1, the two pairs of integers we need are 5 and – 1.
Another Solution
We can also find out other such pairs of integers that have a difference greater than both of them. Let us take for example, 6 and – 1.
6 – (-1)
= 6 + 1
= 7
Since 7 is greater than both 6 and – 1, it is another pair that will help us get to our answer.
What are Integers?
Integers refer to whole numbers. These numbers are not fractions or decimals. Integers can be positive or negative. They also consist of 0. To understand, having a good knowledge of number lines is a must. In a number line, 0 is at the center, on its left are negative numbers and on its right are the positive numbers. All positive numbers are greater than negative numbers. And 0 is greater than all negative integers.
Summary:
Write a pair of integers whose difference gives an integer greater than both the integers.
6 and – 1 is a pair of integers whose difference gives an integer greater than both integers. another such integer pair is 5 and -1. One should note that all negative numbers are smaller than 0 and positive integers while solving this question to get an answer.
