(A) Propane
(B) Butane
(C) Methane
(D) Redon
Butane is used in the cigarette lighter. Butane, a liquefied petroleum gas, serves as the fuel in lighters. Other lighters, similar to cigarette lighters, include a reservoir of lighter fluid, a valve, and an igniting device in addition to a liquefied flammable gas like propane or butane.

Use of Butane in Cigarette Lighters
Butane is a hydrocarbon that may be quickly liquefied and is a highly flammable, colorless, and odorless gas. It is frequently employed as a fuel for portable stoves and cigarette lighters, as a propellant in aerosols, as a heating fuel, as a refrigerant, and in the production of a broad variety of goods.
Methane- Methane is an odorless, colorless, flammable gas. It is mostly used as fuel to produce heat and light. It is also employed in the production of organic compounds. Methane is frequently found in landfills, marshes, septic tanks, and sewers and can be produced as natural materials decompose.
Although propane is frequently used for cooking, space, and water heating and as a fuel for engines in fleet cars, buses, and farm irrigation engines, its usage is expanding quickly as a result of new technological advancements.
Propane- Propane is referred to as propane autogas when it is utilized as a car fuel.
Redon- Redon is chemically inert but radioactive. Radioactive polonium and alpha particles are produced as radon decays. Redon is helpful in the treatment of cancer due to the radiation it emits. In some hospitals, Redon was used to curing cancers by enclosing the gas in tiny tubes and implanting them inside the tumor, curing the condition on the spot.
Summary:
Which Gas is Used in Cigarette Lighters? (A) Propane (B) Butane (C) Methane (D) Redon
In cigarette lighters, butane is used. It is a hydrocarbon gas that is available in liquid but is highly flammable. It is also used as fuel at various places. Also, it works as a refrigerant in the production of a few types of goods.
