ICAR Syllabus 2021: The Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board (ASRB) Research Institutes is going to held The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) recruitment examination for 63 vacancies Administrative Officer and Finance & Accounts Officer posts at ICAR. ICAR 2021 Tier-1 Exam has been scheduled to be conducted on 10 October 2021. Interested candidates can apply for ICAR 2021 Exam between 23 July 2021 (11.00 AM) and 23 August 2021 (05.00 PM). ICAR Tier2 Paper 1: General awareness of Development of Economic, Social, Scientific & Cultural Fields, History & Geography of India and World

  • Indian culture will cover the salient aspects of Art Forms, literature and Architecture from ancient to modern
  • Modern Indian history from about the middle of the eighteen century until the present – significant events, personalities,

  • History of the world will include events from 18th century such as industrial revolution, world wars, redrawal of national boundaries, colonization, decolonization, political philosophies like communism, capitalism, socialism– their forms and effect on the society.

ICAR Tier 2 Paper 2: CONSTITUTION OF INDIA, POLITY, GOVERNANCE, SOCIAL JUSTICE

  • Functions and responsibilities of the Union and the States, issues and challenges pertaining to the federal structure, devolution of powers and finances up to local levels and challenges

  • Comparison of the Indian constitutional scheme with that of other countries
  • Parliament and State legislatures – structure, functioning, conduct of business. Power & privileges and issues arising out of these

ICAR Paper 3: Essay Writing Syllabus 2021 (Only for Administrative Officer (AO) Post)

  2. Essay Writing – II (75 Marks)

Essay: Candidates may be required to write essays on current international/national events and other multiple topics like social, cultural, economic and political aspects about which a graduate level candidate is expected to be aware. They will be expected to keep close to the subject of the essay to arrange their ideas in  orderly fashion, and to write concisely. An opinion may be given and candidate may have to submit his/ her arguments for and against the opinion and sum up in the end of his/ her views. Credit will be given for effective and exact expression.

ICAR Paper 3: ETHICS, INTEGRITY AND APTITUDE Syllabus 2021 (Only for Administrative Officer (AO) Post)

  • Ethics and Human Interface: Essence, determinants and consequences of Ethics in-human actions; dimensions of ethics; ethics – in private and public relationships. Human Values – lessons from the lives and teachings of great leaders, reformers and administrators; role of family, society and educational institutions in inculcating
  • Attitude: content, structure, function; its influence and relation with thought and behaviour; moral and political attitudes; social influence and persuasion
  • Aptitude and foundational values for Civil Service, integrity, impartiality and non- partisanship, objectivity, dedication to public service, empathy, tolerance and compassion towards the weaker-sections.
  • Emotional intelligence-concepts and their utilities and application in administration and
  • Contributions of moral thinkers and philosophers from India and

  • Except the syllabus for Paper 3 and Paper 4 of ICAR Tier 2, rest of the syllabus is same for Administrative Officer (AO) Post and Finance and Administrative Officer (F&AO) Post. There is different syllabus for Paper 3 and Paper 4 of ICAR Tier 2 for both the posts.

  • There are 3 stages in ICAR 2021 Exam. Stage 1 is Objective type paper, Stage 2 consists of 4 Descriptive papers and stage 3 is an interview round.
