When was the NRA established?
The Union Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister had approved the creation of the National Recruitment Agency in the month of August 2020. The motive or vision behind setting up the National Recruitment Agency was to transform the recruitment process in order to attract more and more candidates to apply for central government jobs. The NRA has representatives from various government departments like the Ministry of Railways, the Ministry of Finance, SSC, and RRB.
Why is the National Recruitment Agency Needed?
The main reason behind the NRA and conducting the Common Eligibility Test is the current situation of government jobs recruitment in which any candidate who wishes to apply for government jobs has to fill out numerous application forms for different posts. With the Common Eligibility Test (NRA CET), candidates now have to apply for only one exam, after which the candidates can apply for any particular job based on their performance in the CET.
Another reason why there is a need for NRA is that now for any particular job listed by any department, only suitable candidates will be able to apply for that based on their eligibility and NRA CET Scores.
National Recruitment Agency (NRA) under which ministry?
NRA will cater the prelims exam of all the exams conducted by the different ministries. The Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions is the umbrella ministry that is going to administer all the CET exams through the NRA. This is one of the most talked-about moves by the current government.
National Recruitment Agency (NRA) Headquater/Office
The central headquarter for the National Recruitment Agency will be set up in New Delhi as per the reports and central government guidelines. Ambiguity persists on the district-wise headquarter of National Recruitment Agency. As per the press release, there will be an exam center in each district but no statement is issued regarding district or state headquarters.
National Recruitment Agency (NRA) Chairman
In a historic decision, the IOFS Hament Kumar Patil has been appointed as the Director of the National Recruitment Agency by DoPT (Department of Personnel & Training). Patil is appointed for the period of five years from the date of taking over charge date.
National Recruitment Agency (NRA) Registration
The registration process for the various level NRA CET exam will begin with the release of notification for each level. The agency has not notified the NRA CET Registration process. It is very evident that like other exams candidates need to register for each level of exam separately. The process will involve one-time registration, entering your basic details, uploading the latest photograph & sign, uploading handwritten declaration (if applicable), and fee payment (if applicable).
National Recruitment Agency (NRA) Website
To help a vast number of government job aspirants who are waiting for the National Recruitment Agency's CET exams Byju's Exam Prep would like to inform you that there is no official website for NRA.
