The RRB Group D eligibility criteria comprise the age limit, educational qualification, and nationality. RRB Group D 2023 Nationality
To meet the eligibility criteria, a candidate must be a citizen of India/ a subject of Bhutan or Nepal/Tibetan refugee who came to permanently settle in India before 1st January 1962/or a person of Indian origin who migrated from Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Uganda, Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia, Ethiopia, Zaire, and Vietnam intending to settle in India permanently.
RRG Group D Qualification
Aspirants must fulfill the requisite educational qualification to avoid any hassle at a later stage. The minimum qualification required for RRB Group D exam is 10th standard (or) ITI from institutions recognized by NCVT/SCVT (or) equivalent. Candidates who are appearing or have appeared for the final examination of 10th or ITI are also eligible to apply for the exam, but they need to provide proof of passing the qualification at the time of document verification.
RRG Group D Age Limit
The most basic requirement to apply for the RRB Group D exam is the age limit. It ensures that the applicants fall in the recommended age bracket and failing to do so can lead to disqualification. The RRB Group D age limit is from 18 to 33 years as of 1st July 2019. However, this age range doesn’t apply to certain categories who are eligible for age relaxations.
As per the age relaxation criteria provided by RRB, candidates belonging to reserved categories such as OBC Non-creamy layer, SC, and ST can enjoy relaxation on the upper age limit. While the age limit is 33 years for the Unreserved category, for the OBC NCL and SC/ST categories, it is 36 and 38 years, respectively. Some other reserved categories, like Ex-servicemen, PwBD, widows, etc., are also entitled to age relaxations under the RRB Group D age limit.
