What is UPSC Exam?
UPSC CSE is a competitive exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission to select eligible candidates for all Group A & B posts in central government, such as IAS, IFS, IPS, IRS, and more. UPSC Full Form is Union Public Service Commission. The UPSC IAS Exam is conducted yearly for vacancies in three stages.

UPSC 2023 Prelims Result
The UPSC 2023 Prelims result is released on the official website on 12 June 2023, according to which 14624 candidates are qualified to appear for the Mains examination. The official cut off and answer keys will be released once the entire recruitment process is over.
Earlier, the Commission released the UPSC Final Result on its official website on 23rd May 2023. UPSC announces the CSE result after each stage. The final result is published by officials based on the marks obtained in both UPSC Mains and the personality test. Along with the result PDF, the toppers' list, cut-off marks for Prelims, and cadre allocation list will be out by the officials soon.

UPSC Application Form 2023
The authorities released the application form for Prelims 2023 on 1st February 2023. Nationality for UPSC Exam 2023
The candidates who wish to appear in the UPSC Civil Services Exam 2023 should be a

- should be a citizen of Nepal or
- the subject of Bhutan or
- he/she must be Tibetan Refugee who migrated to India to settle permanently before January 01, 1962, or

UPSC Exam Educational Qualification
The Educational Qualification for UPSC Exam states that the candidates applying for the Civil Services exam must have a graduation degree from a govt. recognized university. The educational qualification is not limited to any particular stream.
- Candidates pursuing graduation and waiting for their final results can also apply, but only on the condition that the result should be declared before filling out the application for the UPSC Mains 2023 exam.

UPSC Selection Process 2023
The selection process for UPSC civil services examination 2023 consists of three successive stages. The selection process for IAS and IPS remains the same, and the services are offered as per the ranks.

UPSC Prelims Exam Pattern
UPSC Prelims Exam consists of two papers, General Studies (GS) and Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT). Each Prelims paper is objective type, MCQ type questions.
- The Prelims paper will be provided in both English and Hindi.
- It is also important to note that the UPSC CSE Prelims exam has a negative marking of 1/3rd mark for every incorrect answer.
- Both GS Paper 1 and Paper 2 are conducted in one day.
- To qualify for the Mains, all applicants must take both the General Studies and CSAT tests.
Note: UPSC Prelims Paper 1 marks will be counted to determine the merit list, whereas the CSAT Paper 2 will be of qualifying in nature (33% marks required).

UPSC Mains Exam Pattern
Candidates who clear the UPSC prelims exam 2023 by securing the cutoff marks will fill in the DAF and appear for the Mains examination. It is a descriptive type of exam, and the marks secured in the mains exam and interview marks determine your selection and merit rank.
The UPSC Mains Exam consists of two types: qualifying papers and merit.
- Papers A & B are of Qualifying in Nature (25%, i.e., 75 marks required), whereas marks of Papers 1 to 7 of the Mains exam will be counted to determine the final order of merit.
- Candidates must choose one UPSC optional subject for the Mains exam.
- Applicants must score a minimum of 25% on each paper to be considered for the final selection.
- Candidates will be asked to write their answers on the provided answer sheets. There will be no extra sheets provided.

UPSC Admit Card 2023
UPSC Prelims Admit Card 2023: The Commission has released the UPSC admit card on 8th May 2023. Candidates who successfully register for the Prelims exam can download the hall ticket from the official website. It is important to carry your admit card to the exam centre to attempt UPSC 2023.
UPSC Mains Admit Card 2023: The Commission will release the Mains admit card 2023 a few weeks before the exam, which can be downloaded from the official website. The UPSC Mains Exam 2023 is scheduled for 15th September 2023 onwards. Ensure you carry the admit card to the exam centre. Candidates who successfully qualify for the UPSC CSE Prelims Exam 2023 must fill out the DAF form and download the Mains e-admit Card from the official website.
In case of any discrepancy in the admit card, candidates must report to the examination authorities immediately.

Follow the below-mentioned steps to download the UPSC Admit Card 2023 from the official website.
- Visit the UPSC official website, https://www.upsc.gov.in/ or click on the UPSC admit card download link mentioned.
- Click on the "View all" tab under What's new.
- In the new window, click on "e - Admit Card: Civil Services (Prelims) Examination, 2023"
- A new window opens with the link to download the e-admit card.
- After clicking on the download link, read the detailed instruction and click on 'yes'.
- Enter your registration id or roll no to download the UPSC Admit Card 2023.
