UPSC Admit Card 2023 for CSE Prelims has been released on 08 May 2023 on the official website of the Union Public Service Commission. Only those candidates who have successfully completed their application process and submitted the fee will be able to download the UPSC Admit Card from the official website. The Prelims exam is scheduled for 28th May 2023 in two shifts – 9:30 to 11:30 AM and 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM. The hall ticket for the Civil Services exam contains the details of the candidate’s name and signature, roll number, registration number, exam time and date, exam day guidelines, etc.

Every candidate needs to follow the given steps to download the UPSC Prelims admit card for the 2023 recruitment cycle.

  • Click on the “e-Admit Card Civil Services (Prelims) Examination, 2023”.
  • Read the Important Instructions mentioned in both English and Hindi.

Documents to Carry with UPSC CSE Admit Card 2023

Here is the list of the important documents that need to be carried to the exam center.

  • Print out of the UPSC Admit Card 2023 for the Prelims Exam.
  • Carry two passport-size photographs with you.
  • Carry any valid photo identification card with you such as Aadhar Card, Voter ID, Passport, Pan Card, Driving Licence, or any other ID issued by the Gazetted Officer.

Last year, the Commission modified the structure of the UPSC Admit Card, which contained the government identity card number supplied by candidates in the UPSC Application Form for the first time. Candidates were required to bring the same kind of identification to the exam center. The number of ID proofs is now printed on the UPSC Hall Ticket, which is a recent modification. This was done by the Commission in order to increase transparency in the test process.

  • Candidates need to examine the E-Admit card downloaded from the website very carefully. If there is any issue while downloading the UPSC hall ticket, they must bring it to the notice of the commission.
  • While communicating with the UPSC, you need to give the registration ID, roll number, name, and all the exam details required.
  • Keep a printed copy of the UPSC e-admit card along with a valid photo ID proof such as an Aadhar card to ensure a smooth entry. You need to keep the printed copy of the admit card safely till the final result declaration.
  • It is only your responsibility to keep the admit card in a secured location. If it gets into the hand of another individual then it is your responsibility to prove that you didn’t use the service of an imposter.
  • If there is any inconsistency while filling out the data on the OMR sheet, especially in the areas of the test booklet series code, and the roll number then your answer sheet may get rejected.
  • The entry to the exam hall will be closed 10 minutes before the scheduled time i.e 9.20 AM for the forenoon session, and 2.20 PM for the afternoon session. Candidates won’t be allowed to enter the hall after that. So at any cost make sure you reach there on time.
  • Candidates will only be allowed to the location written on their UPSC admit card.
