UPSC Recruitment Notification 2023 has been released by the Union Public Service Commission on the official website. With UPSC Calendar 2023 being out, candidates should mark their dates for the Prelims and Mains Exam 2023. UPSC Recruitment 2023

UPSC has released the UPSC Calendar 2023 on its official website. According to the calendar, the form fill-up will start in the first week of February 2023. The first step of UPSC Recruitment 2023 will be the Prelims exam which will be held in 2023. The selection process will start with the Engineering Services (Preliminary) Examination in the second week of February 2023. UPSC Recruitment 2022

UPSC final result has been declared and with it the commission has released the list of category-wise recruitment of the candidates for various services. A total of 1022 candidates have been recruited for various civil services posts. As per the list, a total of 180 IAS officers have been recruited. IAS Recruitment for Lateral Entry

IAS Lateral Entry recruitment means the induction of private sector specialists in Government departments for a fixed period of time. Often the time period is three years however if a candidate performs well then it can be extended up to five years. NITI Aayog has recommended the induction of private sector personnel in government departments.

This Lateral Entry UPSC Recruitment has been criticized because the opposition believes that the ruling party would give priority to its own people, and the private sector is profit oriented. Eligibility Criteria for UPSC Recruitment

Candidates preparing for the UPSC Exam need to know about the UPSC Eligibility Criteria before applying for UPSC Recruitment. If someone doesn’t meet the eligibility criteria, then his/her application will be rejected.

Age Limit

  • The minimum age should be 21, and the maximum age should be of 32 years. But age relaxation is applicable to the age limit of SC and ST candidates.
  • Candidates from SC/ST category get 5 years of age relaxation, and OBC candidates get 3 years of relaxation on their upper age limit.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have a degree from a recognized university or have an equivalent qualification. Final-year students can also apply for UPSC, however, they will be required to submit a copy of passing their final year exam during Mains. Medical Students can also apply for UPSC Exam.

Nationality Criteria

Candidate must be a citizen of India or a citizen of Nepal or a subject to Bhutan. The candidate must have come to India before 1 January 1962, to settle in India forever. The candidate needs to be a person of Indian origin who migrated from these countries- Ethiopia, Uganda, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Zaire, Kenya, Malawi, Myanmar, Pakistan, or Zambia with the intention of settling in India permanently.
