ESE IES Mechanical Paper 2021 Overview

• Technical Paper of Mechanical Engineering was Easy to Moderate
• The Thermal & Applied portion was easy this time.
• Maximum questions were asked from Fluid Mechanics which carried 23 Questions ie 15.3 % of the total Paper but Fluid Mechanics was lengthy.
• Manufacturing and Material Science Section had second-most Weightage in Paper which carried 18 Questions ie 12 % of the total Paper.
• Assertion Reasoning was less as compared to the previous year.

As Per Analysis the Unofficial Expected Safe Score for ESE IES Prelims Paper 2 Mechanical Engineering will be 170 to 180 Marks. Good Attempts can be 110 – 115 Questions.

• IES 2021 Cutoff for Preliminary exam will be disclosed at the time of final result declaration.
