• Orientation Course for Engineering Graduates and Science is the flagship program of the BARC Training Schools for Engineering Graduates and Science Postgraduates. The Orientation Course for Engineering Graduates and Science program is recognized for the award of Post-Graduate Diploma and as course work for the award of M.Tech./M.Phil./Ph.D. degree of the Homi Bhabha National Institute (HBNI), an aided institution of the Department of Atomic Energy and a Deemed to be University under Section 3 of the UGC Act. 
• DAE Graduate Fellowship Scheme for Engineering Graduates and Physics Postgraduates was initiated for inducting engineers at M.Tech./M.Chem.Engg. level in collaboration with eight IITs viz. Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, Roorkee, BHU-Varanasi, and also NIT-Rourkela and ICT-Mumbai. The scheme also strengthens the research-education linkage with premier institutes of the country in areas of interest to DAE. The M. Tech. project work is carried out under the supervision of two guides, one from IIT and the other from DAE.
• KSKRA program Research Associates selected under the prestigious KSKRA program are given an opportunity to work on R&D programs of national importance relevant to the DAE mandate and offer prospects of regular absorption in DAE units.

Application Fee for BARC Scientific Officer Recruitment 2022

List of ineligible subjects for BARC Scientific Officer

Once all the candidates are appointed to the post of scientific officers, they will be given a salary in the level 10 pay matrix with basic pay being Rs. 56,100. The selected candidates will have to sign an agreement and Personal indemnity bond to serve DAE for at least 3 years after completion of the training period. The Indemnity Bond is ₹ 6,78,000 for OCES TSOs and ₹ 13,58,000 for DGFS Fellows.

BARC Scientific Officer Salary

The appointment in all the units will be as a Scientific Officer 'C' (SO/C) in Level 10 - ₹ 56,100 of the 7th Central Pay Commission Pay Matrix. Here, we have provided the BARC Scientific Officer Salary. 

The appointment will be at the beginning of the pay scale with OCES TSOs getting two or three increments depending on their performance during the program and the DGFS Fellows getting three or four increments depending on their performance in M. Tech. / M. Chem. Engg. and four-month Orientation Course for DGFS Fellows (OCDF). However, the fellows whose performance in the M.Tech./M.Chem.Engg. and OCDF programs that are below a specified threshold will get zero increments.

BARC Recruitment Through Written Exam
