The IES interview 2022 dates have been announced by UPSC. Indian Engineering Services (IES) or Engineering Services Examination (ESE) is conducted to recruit Engineers as Class-I Officers by the Indian government. They are in charge of a sizable portion of the public sector economy, which includes, among others, Indian Railways, Power, Telecommunications, Central Water Engineering, and the Engineers’ Service for the Defense.

There are three stages of the IES selection process- Prelims, Mains, and Interview. The Union Public Service Commission has recently announced the IES Interview Schedule 2022. Candidates who have cleared the Preliminary and Mains examinations have been called for the final IES Interview 2022.

What is the IES Interview Process?

UPSC has invited candidates to take the IES interview/ Personality Test if they received the necessary qualifying marks in both the Preliminary and Main exams. The personality test (interview) carries 200 marks. After passing the IES interview 2022, the applicant’s eligibility and supporting documentation will be carefully reviewed for final selection.

The candidates must complete the UPSC ESE DAF (detailed application form) and attach the necessary documents to participate in the ESE IES Interview 2022. They will receive their admit card for the IES interview once they have finished this process.

The exam conducting authority has announced the IES Interview dates 2022. The IES interview process begins on 7 October 2022, and the last date for the interview is 15 December 2022. The dates for various Engineering disciplines are given below.

Dress Code For IES Interview 2022

When taking the IES interview, it is essential that you dress appropriately. There are several guidelines that you must abide by. Read on for additional information on what to wear to your ESE IES interview 2022.

  • Candidates should dress formally so that you can appear professional as an officer.
  • No or very little makeup is acceptable. Maintain a professional demeanor.
  • If you can’t walk comfortably in them and they produce little noise, stay away from wearing high heels.
  • Make a tidy hair tie.
  • Dark formal pants and light-colored shirts are appropriate for men. If you’re at ease, a necktie is OK. Avoid wearing a patterned or flowered shirt and tuck it in.
  • Don a pair of dressy, well-polished shoes and dark socks.
  • Short hair is preferable for men. Although it is a question of personal preference, if you have long hair, it might not provide a professional impression.
  • Don’t go out in your jeans and t-shirt or other casual attire.
  • Strong perfumes should be avoided.

Important Documents to Carry For IES Interview 2022

All applicants who plan to participate in the IES Interview 2022 must bring the following documents in their original form and as copies.

  • Age Certification
  • Certificate of Educational Qualification for Class 10th, Class 12th, Graduate School, and Postgraduate School (if any)
  • Certificate of caste (SC, ST, OBC)
  • Disability Certificate (if any)
  • Certificate for the Economically Weaker Section (EWS)
  • Certificate of an Ex-Serviceman (if applicable)
  • Aadhaar cards, voter cards, PAN cards, passports, driving licenses, and other forms of photo identification.
