BARC exam eligibility is released for the candidates preparing to appear for the posts of Stenographer (GRADE-III) - Group ”C”, Driver, and Work Assistant-A in 2022. It is advised to go through the BARC eligibility criteria before candidates begin to apply. Candidates must consider the fact that various applications get rejected because of non-compliance with the eligibility criteria set by the officials.

What is BARC Exam Eligibility?

BARC exam eligibility is the criteria set by officials to short list the candidates for the stage I and Stage II of the selection process. Only those candidates who suffice the eligibility criteria can sit in the examination and will be considered for the job.

As per the BARC exam eligibility carries there are a total of three basic criteria on which a candidate must fall in order to sit for the exam. The basic eligibility criteria are as follows:

Along with the educational qualification, as per BARC eligibility, candidates are expected to carry a set of skills required for the particular post they have applied for.

Age Limit

As per the officials, the age limit for all the posts based on the category candidates are belonging to does not change with respect to the post applied for. The age limits are the same for all the candidates irrespective of the post but depend on the category. Age Relaxation

The age relaxation in the eligibility criteria is provided by the official to candidates falling under the given conditions:

  • Ex-servicemen
  • Divorced, widows and judicially separated women
  • A person with benchmark disability (UR 10yrs, OBC 13yrs and SC/ST 15yrs)
  • Meritorious Sportspersons
  • Family members of those who died in the 1984 riots in India(5yrs)

Documents Required at 2nd Stage of Selection Process

After the completion of the 1st stage of the selection process for an individual post, candidates who successfully qualify will be required to produce the following documents in order to take part in the 2nd stage of the selection process:

  • Education qualification certificate/mark sheet
  • Age proof
  • Category proof
  • Disability certificate(if applicable)
  • EWS reservation supporting documents
  • Ex-servicemen supporting documents
  • Other relevant certificates

  • In order to be considered for BARC recruitment, candidates must clear the 10th standard examination. In order to be eligible for Stenographer, 50% of passing marks are required. 

  • The age limit mentioned in BARC eligibility criteria is 27yrs for UR, 30yrs for OBC and 32yrs for SC/ST category belonging candidates. Candidates must be over 18 years of age in order to be eligible. 

  • Yes, candidates can join the BARC organization after 10th. It is essential for candidates to follow the age limit and minimum percentage required in 10th std to apply for the Stenographer (GRADE-III) - Group ”C”, Driver, or Work Assistant in BARC.
