NWDA Junior Engineer (JE Civil) Job Profile

The roles and responsibilities that should be carried out by a Jr. Engineer (Civil) are as follows:

  • To create blueprints and specification sheets for a project that they are working on.
  • A JE in Civil should be proficient in drafting programs to create dimensional drawings for project assemble or assemble material specification documents as per the requirements
  • They will be responsible for assisting AE/AD on all matters.
  • They should know the maintenance of T&P items.
  • Further, they should have leadership qualities as well for the work to be completed on time. 
  • Apart from these, a JE will have to perform any other duty as suggested by the senior officer from time to time.

NWDA Jr. Accounts Officer (JAO) Job Profile

The duties and responsibilities that should be carried out by a Jr. Accounts Officer are as follows:

  • As a JAO, he/she will be working under a Senior Accounts Officer who will instruct and guide as per the demand of the office.
  • NWDA Jr. Accounts Officer will pre-check all the payments that are made through the Headquarters and other NWDA offices from the funds of the society.
  • Further, he/she should maintain all the registers related to the accounts department for the HQ office at New Delhi and in various field offices of NWDA.
  • He/She will also have to assist a senior officer, usually, Senior Accounts Officer on all financial matters related to  National Water Development Agency offices.

NWDA Job Profile of Hindi Translator

The roles and responsibilities that should be carried out by a Hindi Translator in NWDA are as follows:

  • Being a translator in NWDA he/she must be proficient in both English and Hindi.
  • As a Hindi translator, he/she will have to be attentive and clerk and mark his/her presence at the various meeting, seminars, conferences, etc for the purpose of translating.
  • Apart from this, he/she will also have to assist and come up with ideas in organizing training programmes, workshop, seminars, conferences, meeting on Hindi implementations.
  • He/She will be responsible for translating and typing documents in Hindi and implementing language policy in various departments.
  • Furthermore, a Hindi Translator will have to keep all the records of documents and files in arrangement for the need of the hour. 
  • To organise meetings and workshops on the Hindi language as well as keep a record of all documents and files in the office of NWDA.
  • He/She will also have to organize various meetings in the office.
  • A Translator will have to take active participation to promote Hindi. For eg. To organize Hindi Pakhwada. 
  • Apart from these he/she will have to carry any other work assigned by the Administrative Officer (AO) on Hindi matters.

NWDA Job Profile of LDC

The LDC is the lower division clerk and the duties and responsibilities to be carried out by him/her are given below.

  • As an LDC, he/she will be involved in paper works of the NWDA office. 
  • LDC’s typing speed should be quick with accuracy as he will be typing a lot of mattes every day.
  • LDC will have to type letters in connection with the supply of photocopies of patents, connected Proforma invoice, calculation sheet
  • LDC will have to type letters related to a particular report, seminar, and training when needed.
  • He or She will also have to type the Annual Budget, performance Budget, Annual Plan and estimate as well as other reports related to the NWDA.
  • He/She will have to ensure maintenance of cash that is entrusted with LDC by granting special pay for full-time work. 
  • Apart from this, he/she will be carrying any other duties that are assigned by a superior officer. 

NWDA Job Profile of UDC

The UDC is an Upper Division Cler (UDC) which is senior in position to LDC post. Being a senior Clerk, he/she will be entrusted with more roles and responsibilities towards the NWDA. Following are some of the responsibilities and duties of a UDC.

  • A UDC will have to maintain and prepare bills, service book, expenditure control register and other registers related to the NWDA offices located at various locations.
  • UDC in NWDA will have to process the cases of festival advance, cycle advance, motor cycle advance, HBA etc
  • He will further have to process TA claims, scrutiny of Medical reimbursement claim, tuition fee of the employees or NWDA
  • A UDC will also have to prepare the contingent bills of parties, entries on different registers,  statement and bills-arrears of DA bonus, sanction-proposal for spare parts, consumables, placing orders for supply.
  • He/She will have to initiate action for entering into an annual maintenance contract for various types of equipment, placing an order on approval
  • He/She will have to make correspondence with suppliers of various items that are delivered to the office.
  • He is responsible for calling for quotations for various local purchases, after assessing the position of the stock. 
  • Perform other duties as per the orders of the Superintendent/Admn. Officer/Head of Office.

Apart from performing the above duties and responsibilities as a UDC in NWDA, you will also have to be responsible for carrying out the following works in case of urgency, when required:

  • Preparation of proposal for disposal of unserviceable equipment etc. 
  • To obtain sanction.
  • To issue of auction notice. 
  • To conduct of auction sale 
  • To correspond with CPWD authorities for estimates for a different type of Civil, Electrical work, obtaining sanction etc.
  • To prepare the report when asked by the UNDP/Ministry.

NWDA Job Profile of Stenographer Gr. 2

A stenographer is responsible for taking shorthand notes in a meeting, seminar, workshop, or conference with accuracy. The roles and responsibilities that are carried out by a stenographer are as follows;

  • As a stenographer, you will have to take shorthand notes of public speeches and transcribe those on a computer. These notes will then be made public through the mass media.
  • You will be needed by the Public Relations Officer to disseminate information in public when required.
  • To provide Stenographic Assistance to Head of Office/concerned Gr. A officers
  • To keep a record of the meeting and tour programmes of Head Office or the person to whom he/she is reporting to
  • A stenographer will have to review the various files that are maintained by the office.
  • He/She will be responsible to receiving and tabulating progress reports of various departments/sections in the office.
  • To scrutinize and type important confidential and urgent papers of the Administration and Documentation Section.
  • Apart from performing the above-mentioned duties as a Stenographer in NWDA, you will be directed to carry other duties as well by the HO concerned group ‘A’ officers from time to time
