ONGC Recruitment Through GATE 2023 – Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for consideration for ONGC recruitment through GATE 2023, candidates must satisfy the following eligibility criteria given below. Candidates with valid GATE 2023 scorecards will be eligible to submit an online application for ONGC. However, candidates need to note that only marks obtained in GATE 2023 are useful for ONGC recruitment, i.e., marks obtained in GATE 2023 or from earlier GATE examinations are not valid.

ONGC Recruitment Through GATE 2023- Selection Procedure
Candidates will be shortlisted based on their GATE 2023 scores and called for a personal interview. Candidates must carry their original documents while attending the Interview and will be reimbursed for attending it. The following prerequisites are included in the selection procedure.
- The eligible candidates having the qualifications for posts should have appeared in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering – 2023 exam.
- The GATE 2023 normalized marks in the subject code (candidate wants to apply) will be considered by ONGC for shortlisting. The candidates will be shortlisted in a 1:5 ratio for the further selection of personal interviews for ONGC.
- Candidates scoring minimum cut-off marks in the GATE exam will also be shortlisted.
- The final selection of the candidate for ONGC recruitment through GATE 2023 will be based on the following parameters.

How to Apply Online for ONGC Recruitment through GATE 2023?
Candidates must follow the below-mentioned steps to fill out the application form for ONGC recruitment through GATE 2023.
- Step 1:Registration-Candidates who have qualified for the GATE 2023 exams must register for ONGC recruitment by filling out the online application form and entering their GATE registration number.
- Step 2: Generation of OTP- The candidate will receive a One-time password (OTP) at the candidate’s mobile number and email address, which has to be used to move to the next stage of filling out the application.
- Step 3: View the registered data-Candidates can check all the details they have filled in the application form. Candidates can log in after entering the GATE and ONGC registration numbers.
- Step 4: Printout of the registration slip- Candidates can view all the information they have furnished and take a printout of the registration slip.
- Step 5: Payment of Registration Fee –Depositing the registration fee online by pressing the “Payment” button.
Application Form Fee Details
The candidates from GEN/EWS/OBC categories have to pay the registration charges of Rs 300. On the other hand, the candidates from SC/ST/PwBD are exempted from paying any registration fee.
