After clearing the CBT, the next stage or tier in the recruitment process for SSC GD Constable are the Physical rounds. This includes a physical standard test (PST) as well as a physical efficiency test (PET) which will test the physical fitness of the candidates. These rounds are also a crucial part of the SSC GD Exam Pattern because the position requires the candidates to be physically fit and eligible to become a Police Constable.
SSC GD Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
Those who will qualify for the computer-based examination will be called by the commission to appear for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) as per the SSC GD Exam Pattern. It will be conducted at various centres finalised by the CAPFs. It includes a race for the shortlisted candidates, and the parameters for the same are given below:

Candidates have to finish the race in the given time to clear this exam. A woman candidate, who is found to be pregnant of 12 weeks standing or over, shall be declared temporarily unfit and get disqualified at that round.
SSC GD Physical Standards Test (PST)
After the PET, the shortlisted candidates will be called for a Physical Standards Test (PST) as per the SSC GD Exam Pattern. This stage will assess candidates on the basis of some physical parameters Like height, weight, and chest measurement. The parameters along with relaxations to qualify for this test are given below:

In addition to height and chest measurements, the weight of the candidates should be appropriate as per their height and age according to medical standards. Upon clearing the SSC GD physical test, candidates will have to go through a thorough medical examination as per the standards set by the authorities.
