RRB NTPC Exam Pattern CBT 1

The first stage of the RRB NTPC paper pattern involves a Computer Based Test. This is just a screening round i.e., the marks of CBT 1 will not be included in the final merit list. The level of questions in CBT 1 is according to the educational qualification mentioned in the specific posts. The exam pattern of RRB NTPC CBT 1 is discussed in the table below:

There are total 100 questions carrying 100 marks. Candidates are awarded 1 mark for every correct answer. There is RRB NTPC negative marking of 1/3 marks for every wrong answer. As per the RRB NTPC exam pattern, the total duration of the exam is 90 mins. For PwD candidates, it is 120 minutes.

RRB NTPC CBT 2 Exam Pattern

Candidates who will qualify CBT 1 will be asked to appear for CBT 2 paper. It is a multiple-choice Computer Based Test (CBT-2). The RRB NTPC CBT 2 exam pattern is discussed here in detail. There is a total of 120 questions that carry a weightage of 120 marks.  Candidates are awarded 1 mark for every correct answer. There is also an RRB NTPC negative marking of 1/3 marks for every wrong answer. The total duration of the exam is 90 mins whereas it is 120 mins for PwD candidates.

RRB NTPC Exam Pattern for CBAT

Only applicants who have applied for Traffic Assistant and Station Master positions are eligible to take the RRB NTPC Computer-Based Aptitude Test. To qualify, candidates must get a minimum T-Score of 42 on each of the test batteries. Only applicants who pass the CBAT will be placed on a merit list, with the marks achieved in the 2nd Stage CBT obtaining 70% of the weightage and the marks achieved in the CBAT obtaining 30% of the weightage. RRB NTPC exam pattern for CBAT includes questions in English and Hindi, and there is no negative marking in this paper.

RRB NTPC Exam Pattern - Typing Test

RRB NTPC Typing Test is a screening test for candidates who have applied for Level 2 and Level 5 jobs. It is qualifying in nature and tests the aspirant's typing abilities. Candidates must be able to type 30 words per minute (WPM) in English and 25 words per minute (WPM) in Hindi on a computer with no editing tools or spell check. Usually, eight times the number of vacancies are called for the typing test.

RRB NTPC Marking Scheme

The marking scheme of RRB NTPC includes the marks scored by candidates for each right and wrong answer in the first two stages of the NTPC exam. In the stage 1 paper, there are 100 questions in total from the following three subjects. The minimum qualifying percentage for different categories of people is as follows: UR/EWS - 40%, OBC/SC - 30%, ST-25%.

As per the RRB NTPC pattern, there are three subjects in the Tier 2 exam carrying a total of 120 questions. Each question carries 1 mark. There is a negative marking of 1/3 mark for each wrong answer in the RRB NTPC exam pattern for stage 2.
