Q. What are the working hours and working days for a DFCCIL Executive in the Operations and BD department?
A. The working days are around 24 to 25 depending upon the month. As per the currently working employees of DFCCIL an Executive/ Junior Executive in Operations and BD, the working hours are 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM for weekdays and 9:30 AM to 2 PM for Saturdays.
Q. Does DFCCIL provide quarters for Executives?
A. Yes, DFCCIL does provide quarter for Executives, nevertheless, most of the quarters are still in the construction phase. And as per the working employees, they will be completed by 2022-23.
However, as a DFCCIL employee, you either get HRA or lease amount which is directly transferred to the house owner’s account.

Q. Is LASIK allowed for the post of DFCCIL Executive in Operations and BD?
A. The basic medical standard for DFCCIL Executive in Operations and BD department is A2. In the A2 medical standards, the visual standards are Distance vision: 6/9, and 6/9 without glasses. Also, without glasses, you need to pass tests for Binocular Vision, Colour Vision, Night Vision.
Now, as per the notification, there is no such evidence that LASIK is allowed or not allowed, however, if you have undergone LASIK then you do not need to accept the medical test unless the authority asks so. Moreover, the Medical Officers do not access to the machine for detection of LASIK surgery, hence, you can decide as per your own discretion.

Q. What is the duration of the training period for a DFCCIL selected candidate?
A. The duration of the training period is 3 months.
Q. Is there any exam in the training period for DFCCIL selected candidates?
A. Yes, there is a departmental exam, however, as per most of the selected candidates, the exam level is quite easy. Candidates only need to get the minimum qualifying marks for final induction.
Q. Do selected candidates of DFCCIL get the option to choose their preferred location?
A. Yes, selected candidates after completing the training period get the option to choose 3 preferred locations for final posting. The final allotment is dependent on the vacancy available in the department.
Q. What is the job profile of Junior Executive/ Executive in DFCCIL?
A. The job role of Junior Executive and Executive is almost the same except for the difference in the level of work. Both of these jobs are quite dynamic and depend upon the area the candidate is posted. There are mainly two area categories which are Road Over Bridge (ROB), and Track Making/ Maintenance, the details of job nature are stated below:
For ROB: As an Executive/ Junior Executive in ROB you will mainly indulge in fieldwork, you will be in charge/ assistant in the fieldwork, construction material quality & quantity. You will also be responsible to coordinate with the contractor, and Project Management Consultancy (PMC) and register the contractor running the bill. The working hours for both Junior Executive & Executive in ROB are the same viz. 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM for weekdays and 9:30 to 2 PM for Saturdays.
For Track Making/ Maintenance: Railway track for the dedicated freight corridor is in the initial stage and will be completed by 2022 to 2023. As a Junior Executive/ Executive, you will be responsible for track planning, layout design, working with contractors (check on track creation/ maintenance status), and coordinate with PMC and other departments.
Q. Is DFCCIL Executive/ Junior Executive a field job or desk job?
A. The job of an Executive/ Junior Executive in DFCCIL is mostly in the field, however, there are certain desk jobs/ office works such as maintaining the registers, coordinating with the contractors, preparing bills, etc.
Q. Do Executives in DFCCIL get transportation facility?
A. Yes, Executives in DFCCIL do get the transportation facility, though, the vehicle is not personal, it is mainly for traveling from one site to another. Also, after 14 to 15 years of service, when the employee is promoted to the post of Assistant Manager, he/ she becomes eligible to get a personal vehicle.
