- Meaning:
a. of, relating to, or characteristic of an enemy
b. opposed in feeling, action, or character; antagonistic
c. characterized by antagonism
d. not friendly, warm, or generous; not hospitable - Synonyms: unfriendly, aggressive, antagonistic
- Antonyms: friendly, kind, warmhearted
- Usage in a sentence: The president had a hostile reception in Ohio this morning
- Learning Trick: In hostel, we are friendly with our friends, think hostile is opposite to hostel. So, hostile will be unfriendly or enemy
Word: Propel (उकसाना)

- Meaning:
a. to drive, or cause to move, forward or onward
b. to impel or urge onward
c. to cause someone to do an activity or be in a situation - Synonyms: drive, push, motivate
- Antonyms: restrain, hold, discontinue

Word: Ethos (स्वभाव, सदाचार संबंधी)
- Pronunciation: ee-thos/ईथास

- Meaning:
a. the set of beliefs, ideas, etc. about the social behaviour and relationships of a person or group - Synonyms: spirit, character, ethics
- Antonyms: dolt, power abuse

Word: Dogma (धर्मसिद्धान्त)

- Meaning:
a. a fixed, especially religious, belief or set of beliefs that people are expected to accept without any doubts
b. a settled or established opinion, belief, or principle: - Synonyms: doctrine, tenet, credo
